The roving patrols rule is pretty powerful as it delays observers being able to bring in an arty or air strike plus you have a chance to take them out when they deploy.

You could use the Axis Support option to bring a Hanomag or 250 Halftrack to give your engineers an armored transport.

I think a Hungarian tiger can be pretty good since they have lots of cheap but useable vehicles to pad out slots in an armoured platoon (nimrod and cv-35) I’ve made 17-18 order dice lists that feature a tiger for Hungary

Are you going to do the runners and riders for Beachhead next Weekend? And what you two taking for Beachhead without giving away your secret armies!!

We'll do a full Beachhead debrief and, if we have access to the lists beforehand in good time, I'm sure we can put something together on our initial thoughts. As for what we're taking, have a look at the episode 2 weeks ago 😉 Phil

Hungarians were my 2nd army , the Budapest book helped them a lot but felt they were hampered by poor Army Rules (Fanatic HQ units) and the lack of transport options . In V3 gaining the ‘no outflank no forward deployment ‘ rule combined with Axis Support is pretty strong and most of the missing transport has been addressed with the standard options. With auto-cannons being so powerful in V3 the Nimrod is a go to tank. One odd thing most armies lost any new kit from Theatre books I.e. HEAT ammo and the Hungarian bazooka but did keep the Mace Thrower.
