@@fopp1 in America bangood takes a long time. Plus we have allot of options.. and I've heard other parts of the world banggood is the best. Dji backs there products. That's a big price difference.. I've always got what I ordered from banggood. But as far as warranty issues. I wasn't happy. But wasn't a reputable product i bought. As far as the bird..I would build. Your going to have to learn how to solder sooner or later. But I do understand why one would want a BNF too. So on that note. The 5 inch titan is way better! And easier to fix when or if you have too. If haven't flew much.. you'll break the DC3. And those small stacks ( flight controller and esc) are hard to solder on. So 5 inch way better. It's not hard at all to solder.. but I work construction so good with hands. But I could teach anybody how too. Any other questions just ask. God bless and have a greatday!

Great video, thank you. New to FPV and just ordered a GEPRC CineGO (4S battery). The battery connector is an XT30. Can you provide a recommendation on a 2-channel smart charger for XT30 connectors? I just bought all the equipment to fly tiny whoops but don’t have a clue how to charge my blue/white betafpv 300mah batteries. I saw some videos where they say you can charger them with 0.5 amps although you said charge it with the amps written on the battery. But how do I know to which voltage I should charge my batteries? You said 4.20 volts. But why and how do I know with different batteries. I also have rc cars with a 3000mah battery. Your help is very appreciated here.
@CAPTAINDRONE798Ай бұрын
Your batteries sound like 1 cell batteries (referred to as 1s batteries). Usually since 1s batteries only have one cell, all that is needed to charge them is a 1s USB charger (many are on the market and can charge 2 or 6 batteries at once… BETAFPV would sell them for cheap). They are simple USB chargers. If you use a charger that is designed for 2s to 6s batteries then your charger has to be able to function without receiving input from a balance cable because 1s batteries have no balance cable. So a 300 mAh battery is charged at .3 Amps and the end voltage can be left at the exact same as per every other lipo battery in the world which is 4.2. But, take a close look at the battery… if it has HV written on it, that means HIGH VOLTAGE, and means you could set your end voltage to 4.3.

@CAPTAINDRONE7983 жыл бұрын

simple and fast, but how much can you push the charging amprage in relation to the C number of the battery? I know that if you increase the charging amps it will take less time to charge. thanks Steve.
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
The higher the "C" rating, the more you can push. So if you have a battery with a "C" rating of 100, you'd be very safe charging a 1300 mAh battery at twice the normal charge. So jumping up from 1.3 Amps to 2.6 Amps, which would potentially charge the battery in half the time. Only do this if you are in a hurry and never leave the battery unattended.

I know this is old, so not super confident in a response, but here goes. Do you have a breakdown of how much you can push Amps based on C ratings? What the recommended safe min C is for fast charging (10A a 5000mAh , for example)?
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Жыл бұрын
C rating is not the best item to go with as most are false. However, modern battery technology is very good construction wise. Now if you have a 5000 mAh lipo battery, you’d need a really good charger to push 10 amps. But to answer your question, if you wanted to push 10 amps into a 5000 mAh battery then it would be best that the battery was 50c or higher.

Hi Steve. Thank you for this video. If a drone has the option for 4S and 6S, should I choose the 6S version when ordering? @CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
I would recommend to beginners to select a 4S drone and fly with 3S batteries. 6S drones have much lower KV motors and they do fly well with a 4S battery but I do find that the 4S is too much for a beginner and if you put a 3S battery on a 6S drone it sometimes flies strange, so that is why I would recommend the 4S drone with a 3S battery. Cap when I hook my batteries they’re 4s batteries to my charger to put in storage mode and after there done I check them with the voltage alarm gadget and each of the four cells are different by a couple digits is this normal or am I doing something wrong,thanks ahead of time.Love your channel
@CAPTAINDRONE7983 жыл бұрын
They should all be really close… something like 3.5 volts or whatever your charger defaults to.

Very awesome and informative video, thank you for that ! I have a quick question regarding "c rating" of batteries... if you are a quad racer, you normally use a high rated "c" lipo... If you enjoy long distance slow flight for longer flight times, you use a low "c" rating... In regards to long distance slow flight for longer flight times, can you use a high "c" rating lipo and use low throttle on the quad to get the same flight time as a low "C" rating lipo ?
@CAPTAINDRONE7983 жыл бұрын
The "C" rating on the battery is also equal to the price of the battery. The higher the "C" rating the higher the price. This is why if you are not racing a drone or doing crazy freestyle, then a low "C" rating is fine and you save money. You can certainly place a high "C" rating battery on a long range drone but if you never use the extra power "punch" it has, then you are spending more money for little effect.

How about for xt30 batteries? Do you just have an adapter or buy a banana plug set with a xt30? I’m planning on doing smaller drones so I guess I might be needing the xt30, would using an adaptor 24/7 on Lopo batteries be a dangerous idea? The smart chargers seem to only come with the xt60. =\ Any help? =D

You get all the battery adaptors you need off of AMAZON. Just look for an XT60 to XT30 plug.... be sure to get the correct MALE & FEMALE ends.

Hi Steve! Have a quick question. I have pulled the trigger on a complete digital setup thanks to this series of videos (thank you and great job) but my question is what is a good rule of thumb or how do you know when it’s time to land before you ruin a battery? Do you watch the voltage in the dji Google’s? Thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond.
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
In the DJI GOGGLES the VOLTAGE turns RED in the bottom right, which means you are sucking too much power or it is time to land. If worried about batteries, then get yourself a tiny timer that you can stick on your radio and set it for 3 minutes. Land at 3 minutes if unsure. The worst that can happen if you fly for too long is that the LOW VOLTAGE CUT OFF will engage and the drone will drop out of the sky, or you diminish your battery and it swells up and becomes unusable.

Do those chargers work with the GNB 3000mAh 2S 5C LiPo Battery For Jumper T18 pro radio which takes the XT30 connector and batteries for the freestyle racing drones which will be taking XT60s. As Hobbyrc suggested I get the SkyRC S65 65W 6A AC Balance Charger.
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
All chargers work with 2S to 6S batteries. You just need the correct battery charge cables to match the end on your battery.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ok, thanku. I really cant wait to get all set up and flying. I've been learning on DCL game on ps4 over last few weeks, so much fun. Do you know if my Jumper T18 pro will work on ps4 for DCL game?

This already answered a bunch of questions. But I still have one, which I wouldn't mind seeing a review: how long does a battery take to charge up? This influences the amount of time you can fly the drone. Each flying session you go alone or with friends, for how long do you fly? You replace batteries every 5 minutes? Can you have a set of 10 batteries, plus the charger, and recharge 2 while you're flying, and then reuse those?
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
In the RC Hobby, you can select the time a battery takes to charge. Most people will buy quality batteries so that they can charge them much faster when necessary. Now if you are used to Camera Drones that come in a box with a supplied charger, then your mind may be thinking that you are stuck with waiting hours for a battery to charge.
