Thanks for an informative video. I hunted for a dayboat/weekender in the 32-40 ft range and liked the Regal 38 SAV. I ended up not buying it because I am tall and there were several places where I would bash my forehead into fiberglass. I will say that I came across some not positive owner reports about Regal quality, and even the Regal dealers I talked to said it is somewhat of a price boat. I ended up with a (used) Boston Whaler 350 Realm, and it is a very solid tank of a boat. I place Boston Whaler, Tiara and Pursuit above Regal in quality. Tiara boats seemed really nice to me, beautifully-finished and well-engineered. The Tiara 43 looks like it is a very nice running hull too. Looking forward to upcoming videos on the new Regal. Chesapeake Bay is a cruisers delight with so many protected anchorages and picturesque harbors.

Hey John. Thanks so much for your support, we truly value your input/comments. We have never had an issue with Regal quality... that said one of the manufactures you have mentioned I have had two boats bought back from the dealer due to quality issues and construction issues, I won't name which one... but I think all manufactures have had their issues. I think boats built in the 2000's in terms of some of those manufactures you named are some of their best built boats. My eyes were opened up when we went to the Regal factory and they allowed us to document their entire build process, there is a technique they use to build their boats that very few other manufactures use, the other one I am familiar with is Tierra. This will be featured in an upcoming episode airing just after the first of the year. For us, the reason we went with the Regal 38XO not to be confused with the SAV, because it is totally enclosed salon, which is important for our needs. Again thanks so much for your support and for watching our videos!

Keep the content coming - great review. I purchased a 2022 Regel 26 XO. Overall, happy w my purchase. Biggest down side to the 26 XO is the small gas tank of 72 gallons. It really limits range.
@From100to262 ай бұрын
Hey Joseph, thank you so much for your comments and congratulations on your Regal 26 XO. Yes I agree reference the fuel tank however, all boats are a compromise in one way or another. Even the 100 foot boat we had was a design in compromise. I don’t think you ever, solve that issue in any boat. Thanks for your comments, and thanks so much for supporting the channel.

I'm shopping for a boat that's functionally similar - small cabin class, outboard powered, planing hull - so this was a useful comparison. Suggestion to help your channel grow: either via phone (for iPhone, it begins at 13 Pro) or camera, use a wide angle lens to help the viewer get more spatial context with some of those cabin shots. Apparently, the hull wasn't suitable for a 2' chop on the Bay? Could you say a bit more about that, please. New subscribeer.
@From100to2611 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for subscribing and watching the channel, we truly do appreciate all of the support. The Regal 26XO will run in 2 foot chop with no issues, it was not a hull issue, it can just be a wet ride...... And something neither of us want. Regal uses some very impressive building techniques that will be featured in our Factory tour episode which will be coming out the first week of January that really makes their boat feel and ride very solid. I was totally impressed by what I saw. Reference using the wide angle lens, we actually were using a wide angle lens one step below using a fish eye lens. We felt like if we used that type of a lens it might give people the wrong impression of the true side of the interior. Yes it is rather small. Thanks again for all of the support and watching!!
@jacktyler759911 ай бұрын
@@From100to26 Ah-ha, so that was already a wide angle lens! Thanks for clarifying; it really is a bit 'scrunched' down below, isn't it. Looking forward to the factory tour....and here's hoping you enjoy your holidays on the Bay. We lived aboard 3 full years in Annapolis and have many fond memories of Eastport and Annapolis, even in the winter (if the power didn't go out, that is). ;)
@From100to2611 ай бұрын
@@jacktyler7599 It is a smaller boat down below... comfortable yes, small yes.. functional yes. For us with the combination of the wet head and the size, it was just a little too small. We enjoyed being on our boats full time, but it is now time for a change. We really look forward to exploring the area and heading up to Maine. AMPM Marine is amazing, simply the best dealership experience I have ever had, they are your Regal dealership up here.

Great info, thank you...Quick question, on hot summer days is the A/C down in the cabin sufficient enough to cool off space.

when looking at the our current boat I quickly come to the decision that minimum 30ft sperate dinette/ no walking through the windscreen (dangerous) and 2 engines. Looked at a 27ft searay when sat on the toilet feet in the hallway I am 92kilos 5ft 10 also the rear area tight for 4 people. jm2cents worth.

Whats the size of a boat that would be good for 1 female crew + my wife and I - wife cooking and laundry/inside cleaning also - me captain - 1 F crew member mostly keeping outside shiny and clean - 70'? 80'?
@From100to2611 ай бұрын
The key with your question is the crew area. Are you planning on living on the boat, if so you have to ask yourself, where is the crew going to cook, where are they going to keep their food where are they going to eat? When we refit Bravo we specifically created an entire crew area with a full crew galley area for this reason. We wanted them to have their area, and we wanted to have our privacy. If you plan to live on the boat and or spend a significant amount of time on the boat, I would say 80-100 as minimum, but think about those points above reference the crew. If you just plan to show up and do a few trips then I think you could get away with a 60-70 foot vessel with the knowledge they are going to be using your galley area, keeping their stuff in your refrigerator etc while you are not on the boat.

Really it would be close to near impossible to fit a full shower in on a 26 foot boat without really giving up something like the forward V Birth. It is just a matter of geometry.. and hence why we are going to much larger boat. Thanks again for watching the channel, your support means a lot to us! Have a great holiday!
