We do use vinegar, but whilst overwintering in a marina we use fresh water to flush so we do not get the sea/urine reaction. We do not have the bin, but we do have scented nappy bags for paper. I agree about wiping down the area around the head. I might give the zoflora a go.

Good Nz morning Carl and Jenny, another tip I used in my heads, was to leave a tealight burning in a glass holder. I messed around with different aromas and settled on sandlewood and another one called opium. Yeah true. That was its given aroma name. So with a burn time of up to 6hrs on average, it supplied light and beautiful aroma for a very long time. And obviously I just used it at night. Oh btw, my boat was 15 tonnes in ferrocement so not much movement at anchor. So no chance of the light swinging and creating a fire hazard. Apart from normal cleaning, I used that system for 9-10 years. Atb for 2021. Take care. Until next time. Cya.

The milk trick is a great one that we're definitely going to try. Our top tip for nice-smelling heads is to use the marina facilities :)

It really works. We don't use the heads when we're in the marina for the winter. Sea water in the pipes does start to smell though so its important to keep flushing it through.
