Another interesting watch, Algy - thanks for uploading. A very neat installation by the look of it and I was fascinated by the waxed cord method of securing cables. 👍

The waxed cord is old school but works well and kinder to the cables than tie wraps. Thank for watching and commenting.

Hi Algy, looking good. The GPS head unit can be oriented in any direction, it doesn't know which way it's facing. Thanks for the plug on my interview with Keith.

I didn't thin it did but I had set up the run for it to be the same as the Kub. No problem with the plug it saves me the effort to try to produce a video of the same quality.

All very interesting again. I was fascinated by your Whipping Method. At sea I was taught West Country Whipping where there are no knots. I have to agree with you 100% about "Looking out of the window" rather than relying on the magic screen. When I was on long cruises and had company who took night watches I always insisted they kept a proper lookout and then used the radarn not the other way round. Regards Michael

There are some pilots who spend too much time following a line on a screen and hoping that aircraft will appear on it. It is okay in an airliner at 30,000 ft or flying through fog but in my low slow aeroplane it is better to llok out 🙂

Would you consider using 3M Dual-Lock instead of Velcro, for the heavier items such as transponder & GPS? I've seen them used for professional guitar effects pedal boards, for those who do lots of touring. I suppose Velcro has more of a cushion effect and you'd tie things in place too.

My experiance with Dual-Lock is limited but I think it holds too firmly for my applications. The transponder and radio will be on rubber bush nuts.

@@flyingkub Yeah, I thought some sort of vibration dampner would be important.

@@Payne2view Yes vibration kills electrics, not as much now with solid state.
