An enjoyable watch and I learned a couple of things as usual. Thanks for uploading. 👍

Great video Algy. The aircraft looks super, even in the development stage. Stow Maries is now on our list!

@@roybilbe1378 thanks Roy. You will have to wait to next year now for any events and I think they are closing shortly for the winter.

Hi. Interesting to see the lifespan of material that has variation of temperature and vibration factors. Thin material is more susceptible to environmental factors, so seeing the transparent screen being replaced the way you did in this video is very helpful. Increasing your workshop to a higher temperature (this time of year - chilly outside) for assembly to minimise fracturing of the plexiglass, especially as the plexiglass is relevantly thin. Nice to see your modification, progressive step is a better term, to use silicone to bond the transparent and expandable film onto an aluminium frame. Rather clever as it will also reduce the vibration of plexiglass in a cold environment that can reduce the chance of fracture of plexiglass especially where it has been riveted.

All good observations PTG. I think it will imporve the view for the next 5 years. :-)

Nice to see the Kub getting some attention. I'm sure you'll have a clearer view now.

I can see clearly now the rain has gone, oh sorry, now the scratches have gone :-)

Interesting Algy. I noticed you use a metal holder for the silicone tube. I prefer a plastic one because as soon as you stop the flow from the tube stops. With a metal one there is usually a delay. Something my younger Brother taught me.

Not had any issues with my old metal one as I can press the lever at the back to reliease the piston, it is a bit of a case of what works for the operator :-)

Hi Algy, did you use a Lexan equivalent? Did you find any material creep when applying the Rivets? It reminded me of making Skyranger doors, but they have a funny bow in the construction.
@flyingkub2 ай бұрын
Simular but not as sensitive and the sealant is the non amonia type so it will not craze it either. No material creep with the soft aluminum rivets especially if you drill the holes to 3.5mm to give the shank some place to go.
