New day, new start! Such a cliche but obviously true.👍

Exactly after the drama in the previous vid I appreciated the reset overnight and the new day turned out to be a great one.

Years back I went through Woomera and they had the old Rocket Park which displayed some of the rockets that were launched in the test range... that and the museum are fascinating. I hope to go there again sometime and also do a tour of Maralinga (if they're still doing them...). The balloon launches must have been something... any idea how far down range the instruments usually land? And as for Bernard, he certainly is living the dream. The trip across Europe to Jakarta reminds me of the trip that itchy boots did (which was going the other way.). Great little episode... thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rob. Working in Aviation I really enjoyed the balloon launch and chatting to Jason thou I forgot to ask when the balloon terminates who collects the radiosonde. It was also great to hear what its like to live out there whilst he is stationed at Warakurna things like the food deliveries occur fortnightly however mail is weekly it was really interesting. I spoke to him for ages but I do edit a lot of it out cus the vids will be way too long and not appealing to most. Bernard was really inspiring to chat to from living in Africa, showing me his home/truck to listening to his amazing stories on the road actually you reminded me to send him the link to this vid to watch it as he asked me to do so when it was ready. Thanks again Rob for always watching and commenting I really appreciate it and its rewarding to see you are enjoying the series.

Hey Rob, depending on the jet stream and the wind directions through the different layers of the atmosphere, we can have the ballon’s land +100kms away or as close as a couple hundred meters from the launch site. If you are fortunate enough to stumble across one then you get to keep the remains of the balloon, the parachute as well as the radiosonde. Thanks for taking the time to have a chat Kosta. Glad to see your trip through Warakurna improved…

@@jasonvonbardeleben3374 Jason totally Awesome to read your comments as I always wondered if you got the chance to see this vid. I enjoyed learning about your balloon launches and life out in Warakurna. I'm not sure if I was over thinking the whole no accom thing when I arrived in Warakurna so I hope I didn't paint a bad picture of the place cus looking back on it all it was a great experience out there. You would know a lot more than me spending months out there getting to know the place. I wonder if Kylie is still based out at the police station there?. Thanks again for the chat and I'm wrapped you got to see this vid.

Enjoyed your video`s. I too have an Aprilia Caponord, but I have the Rally version. Hats off to you for doing this trip. I spent 12 years driving 4x4 camping tours through there, then up through central oz to Kakadu ect. From there thru to Kimberly and back to Perth via the Pilbara. I want to ride my bike through there one day soon. Are more video`s coming ? If I could give you a tip, bring a swag or a simple mattress and sleeping bag and camp out one night. I rarely stayed in accommodation and never had a problem. Stay 20kms or more away from communities where road gangs have camped and have a camp fire.....bliss !! Strange as it might sound, many passengers I had thought the desert was the highlight of the trip including the big name places. If it`s ok, I might put a link to your vids on the Aprilia forums. Cheers.

It’s always Awesome to hear from another Capo owner especially as they are getting rarer and rarer. Well you would have seen so much out that way and really got to be a part of the Outback. I wish I did camp out to at least be part of the landscape for a night but I guess I just wasn’t comfortable doing it. I like the idea of staying close by road gangs that’s a good tip. I really hope I get to ride out that way again and will bring camp gear with me. Feel free to share the vid wherever you want I’d appreciate that and there are another 6 episodes to go before the series finishes so hope you enjoy them too.

Hey just wondering what was the starter motor problem you had comming into WA and what was the fix ? Cheers @@MotoPassport
@MotoPassport Жыл бұрын
@@RossiTuono Can you believe it was just the connection. Far out I thought it was something serious but turns out the wire that bolts onto the starter motor needed cleaning. Once home I gave it a proper clean and I've never had an issue since.
