100 in a 130 zone…and your on a road bike. Your certainly not suffering any “gethomeitis” like some of the drivers in your industry! 😅 Amazing scenery well captured. Thanks for sharing👍

Well I figured I may never be out this way ever again so might as well go slow and enjoy the views that said I couldn’t resist going 130 at least once. I’d have to say riding thru this part of Oz was my fav the scenery was spectacular so I’m glad it comes thru in the vids.

Another awesome share ....it's on my must do list for next year (when I take the klr around the block) to reach the geographical centre of Oz. Hope I make it 🙂. Love the drone footage as it helps to put everything into perspective. Love the stark colours and contrast of red and blue. cheers mate

Ooh yeh a lap around Oz is the ultimate for all of us hope it all falls into place for ya. As for the geographical centre of Oz its was incredibly hard work espcially on a big road bike so the KLR should be in it's element. The next episode is a cracker riding to the centre so I'm sure you'll find it helpful for your planning. I'm a fan of drone footage its an incredible bit of kit and the footage speaks for itself really. Thanks heaps for tagging along and watching this far 😃

Well done on conquering the GCR. Hopefully I can do it sooner (rather than later). :)

Thanks Rob it was certainly was very challenging and very rewarding and looking back at the whole trip the GCR is what I remember the most. It is said to be fully sealed in another 5ish years so hopefully you get to ride it sometime soon.

Have camped at Curtin Springs several times, and on each occasion the staff have been more than accomodating, even allowing us to take our breakfast in the kitchen as it was so cold outside. As for Yulara, the place is extortionist/over priced/over rated and I happily drive past.

Yeh lesson learned and next time I’ll push on to Curtin Springs and avoid Yulara and from the sound of your experiences much more accomodating owners. I just had to laugh at myself for paying $400 especially when I arrived at Kulgera the room was $65 and perfect for me on a trip like this.

Easy to forget how many snakes are lurking in the outback, although I only saw one in 13000kms trip WA SA and NT. Many years ago while chasing mates through the bush on dirt bikes, my mate in front of me ran over a snake and the knobby tyre threw it high into the air behind him. We were travelling quickly but luckily I was far enough back that the snake landed in front of me and not ON me! When I caught up to him he was oblivious to the whole thing. Loving your videos.

I'm also surprised that I saw so few snakes as did you on your big trip and to be honest they certainly are there I was just oblivious to them all which is probs a good thing. Man that's a crackn story bout the snakes being flicked up on you def gives being roosted on a new meaning. It would be a great video if you got it on gopro or something. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment I appreciate all the support.

@@MotoPassport No footage as this was late 80's early 90's, but I still remember the surge of adrenaline as it happened in Tassie where ALL the snakes are venomous! Cheers.

@@bondradman7353 what makes this funny is you would have been super pumped when it happened a bit of an adrenaline rush yet as you said your mate had no idea, that would have been a funny conversation 😂 😂
