wow! I actually paused the video on some of the shots to grasp the enormity of these landscapes. Absolutely beautiful. And yes, being a biker myself, I can safely say the fun, satisattion and sense of acheivement this whole trip is offering, will wait for the next one!

No one has ever said they have paused the video to really appreciate the views so thanks so much for writing that. A lot of effort goes into filming the trip with various cameras and a drone then also the editing process afterwards so your comment is greatly appreciated. I’m glad you enjoyed the video as there is a lot more to this series. Safe riding

@@MotoPassport Thanks for the reply. Yeah, those Uluru shots, never seen before that way you have captured it, mesmerizing! I acknowledge and appreciate the effort you have put into this series, not less than a professional production quality. Very well done. And your commentary, light sense of humor... I keep smiling while watching. :)

Awesome following you around eveywhere. We heading to Tassie in Feb for 4 weeks - from 'the Shire" hahaha Question, how you finding the rear STR tyre? We run STR on front and michelin Anakee adventure on rear but rear are very noisy. We are about to get new STR s on front of my wife CB500X and my Vstrom. Looking at going STR on rear also...? cheers Rod
@MotoPassport Жыл бұрын
Thanks Rod for tagging along around Oz 🇦🇺 and all great trips start from ‘The Shire’ haha. You’ll have a great time in Tassie and the weather should be great in Feb too. As for the STR’s it’s the first time I used them so whilst I may not be the best person to ask I found them to be excellent. The tyres performed really well on blacktop and dirt and I’d have to say the bikes size and weight also my avg ability was the biggest restriction on the trip and not the tyres. I do recommend them in fact I’m still running the same tyres now from the trip (thou they need changing) the durability is amazing. Ride safe and have a crackn time.

@@MotoPassport thanks for that ... appreciate the reply and its exactly what we after there are so many so called expert reviews but I don't really take much notice of them, much better from 'real ' people like yourself with a basic honest idea. Cheers and ride safe . Look forward to u next video. 👍

And I imagine that none of these positive responses here are from your wife !! Question; With those ADV fuel bladders do you get fumes ? I bought a bladder a few years ago to use on a trip to Melbourne from Perth and the fumes in the motel room, and hotel in Melbourne were hugely concerning. Am doing a Tassie trip on Feb next year with a mate and am wondering which is the best bladder. On both my previous trips over the GCR the section to worry about has been east from Docker River/WA border , absolutely atrocious. We followed a set of pushbike tracks from Laverton east, and at the border they were accompanied by footprints, absolutely unrideable.
@MotoPassport Жыл бұрын
My wife doesn't watch my vids so I can get away with it til she does so I'm safe for now haha. I hear ya about fuel bladder fumes as I've never carried a bladder before and was worried about fumes and simply carrying it on the back of the bike. I purchased mine (5 litre size) from Adv Moto which has stores in Brissy and Sydney and it was brilliant. I secured it with rok straps and it didnt budge. I can confirm when the lid is secure you can't smell a thing it didn't emit fumes at all with or without fuel in it. Very impressed. So from my experience this trip the road from Laverton to Tjuka is awful as there is a new mine being built so trucks are using and abusing that section with big corrugations. Tjuka to Docker River is really good and as you said the road around the border is just deep sand so very tuff and slow going. Hope you have a great ride around Tassie.

A higher octane rating will not give you any better mileage, it's an insane myth that keeps persisting.
