R888 Proxes will be fine for road use. I used to have them on my 99 WRX many years ago and there were never any "moments" in the wet but then I saved the fast cornering for the track. Still have the car and the tyres on it now are Yokohama Advan A050 and they are superb for road and track.

I did the plug on my old racecar with that gen haldex But it was a mk3 so no canbus control. It worked. I now have a mk5 r32 racecar. Because i have canbus, i dropped big $ on an actual controller (van de veer). SO much better. I tried locked (as it had worked on my old car) and it was undriveable. Tried race mode and it is fantastic. For a car you will drive on the road (mine's trailered) definitely spend the money on the proper deal. I am a cheap bastard and was worried it wouldn't be worth it. I am relieved to say it is worth it.

First off, nice work on resurrecting this Copart find! If you're not planning to upgrade the exhaust, you should add least clean/polish the stock tip - it will be some nice *bling* against the dark blue paint (surround). Years ago, I had a stock '03 A4 Quattro sedan with the Avus wheels, too. If you weigh them, you'll find they are fairly heavy, even for a stock wheel. Maybe a cost-effective upgrade to a BBS wheel would be warranted to help with the handling.

Painting the front grill, rear panel and side skirts satin black would make the car look lots fresher.

Hi you should refurbish front and rear bumper faded plastics , repaint or use heatgun. Also do something with exaust chrome tips. it look ugly now. Fix passenger headlight its faded from humidity. I will replace foghlight lamps. More than 20 year old car those never was replaced. Just for good look. And Enjoy it OH! you need to find wheel rim covers too 😀 Good Luck 😏✌

Be VERY careful with those Toyos in the rain. Absolutely shocking experience I had in the rain in a MK2 GTi 16v with Toyos. Congrats , the car is looking amazing.

Looking for a bit of help i have 2012 1.6 tdi caddy 80k Will start and rev to limiter parked up but drive it and stops within half mile with air lock crack injectors will run and rev till you drive please help
