Back in 86 I was living in a condo with another guy and a girl in Dillon Co. The girl roomy scored some HoJo tickets at Red Rocks and she asked me if I would go with her. I wasn't really into pop music at the time but I told her I would because I had never seen a show at RR. We got there and the whole amphitheater was nothing but girls and as you know for an 18 year old I was in heaven. HoJo comes out on stage and proceeds to put on one of the best choreographed concerts I have ever seen. It was truly amazing and the music was top notch. That day I became a huge fan and it's still one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I bought his greatest hits CD and still listen to it to this day as it brings back really good memories of a more simple time in my life.

Simply Eclectic.. Howard Jones used to live in High Wycombe, Bucks in England, when he first came out with his first single & thereafter. I was only about ten years of age & my neighbour Pat, who was in her 20's used to have piano lessons with Howard. He literally lived ten minutes walk from us & I smile now, because those were the days of wanting to get an autograph. So, I walked with Pat & knocked on Howard's door & got an autograph. ( Green St, High Wycombe Howard's home back then) Happy Days 🌻🌷

This was a very pleasant surprise in so many ways. Thoroughly enjoyable. 1.) I saw Daryl twice when he was touring with Todd Rundgren. They were an awesome touring duo. 2.) Daryl is the definition of what it means to be a musician. He gigs with seemingly everyone. 3.) I saw Hall and Oates when about 5 years ago and Tears for Fears was the opening act. TFF was great. Hall and Oates were disappointing. Something was not working for me, so I left about 3/4 of the way into the show. It's the only concert I've ever left early. 4.) I'm curious how Howard and Daryl came into each others orbit. I'm also curious about what Howard thought about the dinner. Daryl's caterers always seem to be cooking meat and I know Howard Jones is vegan. 5.) Howard - the hair! Dude, you gotta rework that. 6.) I wasn't surprised at Daryl trying to block John Oates from selling his half of their music. It was disrespectful. Sorry to say it H/O fans, but Daryl was the bigger talent behind their success.
