We also have 100 and 200 Turkish Liras. On the back side of 100 Turkish Liras, we have Buhurizade Mustafa Itrî (1640-1712) who was an Ottoman-Turkish musician, composer, singer and poet. With over a thousand works to his name, although only about forty of these have survived to this day, he is regarded as the master of Turkish classical music. In 2012, due to the 300th anniversary of Itri's death, the UNESCO declared 2012 the "International Itri Year". On the back side of 200 Turkish Liras, we have Yunus Emre (1238-1320) who was a Turkish folk poet and Sufi mystic who greatly influenced Turkish culture. His name, Yunus, is the equivalent to the English name Jonah. He wrote in Old Anatolian Turkish, an early stage of Turkish. The UNESCO General Conference unanimously passed a resolution declaring 1991, the 750th anniversary of the poet's birth, International Yunus Emre Year.
