Aaaahhhh I wish I’d chosen the night train for this journey instead of the day-long version I chose on my way to Chisinau. Having a sleeper room would have been soooo much more comfortable than the journey I actually had!! Great video though.

Thanks for this. Spent my earlier life travelling the length & breadth of US and Canada, was always going to do stuff like this (back in Europe) when retired. Unfortunately, health has 'tanked' and it now seems unlikely. But, thanks to you, and similar, I can vicariously enjoy "night train"s and all. Good luck with your fledgling channel! Mike

That's it for three days just finished work so trust me with job and my age I can sleep upside down bit like the old bat I am. I have it in my head to do the Caledonian sleeper in this country at some stage.Anyway hope Christmas is going ok for you. Look forward to the next one ❤❤

Maybe you can't lock the door from the outside so that no one locks you in there. A key system would help but administration seems impossible.

@ yeah suppose it would be too much hassle logistically for the staff.

It' gets kinda sad when you realize it's only about 8-900 km that should be more like 6-8 hours with stops. I used to go from Budapest to my home city and I found an old train schedule and the train was takin the same time to get there as it did in the 40s. I think trains have the same speed since the 2nd world war in Romania.

A WHOLE 16 hours? That's an epic voyage? Try 3 DAYS on a sleeper train across the USA or Canada, or even Australia...Then talk to us about epic voyages. 16 hours is a car ride.

16 hours is at least 2 car rides. Even truck drivers are required to rest after 9 hours. Endangering others lives by driving for way way too long is a weird thin to show off with.

By European standards that's a very very long train journey. It's not a competition. People in different parts of the world experience things differtly. Respect is a nice thing.
