Wow, your first day in Budapest looks incredible! The sights, the energy, and your excitement are so contagious. Can't wait to see more of your adventure-Budapest is definitely on my travel list now! I've noticed that channels in this niche often attract a lot of views when they use carefully chosen tags. Just a thought that could help bring your videos to more people!

Hello That salad-like thing is called csalamade. Many kinds of vegetables cut up and pickled. We eat them with fatty foods because they help digestion. There are many pickled vegetables (e.g. cucumbers, cabbage, peppers, onions, melons..). The pasta is called nokedli. But this one looks more like a galuska. Nokedli is smaller. Both pastas are traditional side dishes for paprika chicken.

One of the largest construction projects in Hungary (National Hauszmann Programme) is currently underway in Budapest. The area around the Parliament and the entire Buda Castle district is being renewed. Several buildings that were damaged in World War II are being rebuilt according to their original plans. Several are already complete. But only now has work started on the Royal Palace. One part of the building has already been demolished because the original is being rebuilt. Unfortunately, during the communist period, many barbaric operations took place there. At the top of Gellért Hill, the Citadel is also being rebuilt. I think it will be worth visiting Budapest in 5 years!

The Christians know a thing about architecture. There is always a feeling of peace whenever I sit in a religious building. I'll leave it to you to show me views from the top of tower's not my thing. Hungarian wine use to be a big thing not so long ago I seem to remember but I don't drink alone now so I couldn't tell you if it still is. Thank you for that and I look forward to part two ❤❤

@@jaynerichardson3807 As a naitive i can tell you that our wines are just getting better and better. If you like red wines choose one from the Villány region. The white ones from the Tokaj region what i can recommending but there are also very fine wines from the Lake Balaton region.

@@jaynerichardson3807 You’re welcome! For Christmas i would choose a bottle of 2016 Tokaj Aszu (6 puttonyos). This is the pinnacle of the desert wines and very well matching with sweet pastries and cakes. It has a sweet and thick taste.

The restaurant is across from Vaci street, or on it, (I forget), meaning it could be a tourist trap. I'd agree that your dinner was excellent, but "not cheap". You had a bottle of wine and a dessert, which may be to blame for the relatively high price of HUF 13,000+. The chicken was not de-boned, but served country style in a pot. The noodles are called dumplings in Hungary and are meant to be eaten with every forkful of chicken and sauce.
