I think the phalanx system used by the Spartans may have frustrated the typical samurai style of fighting which was far better suited to fighting one-on-one. But combined with the guns and arrows of the samurai to thin them out, combined with their ability to eventually utilize the katana, I don't believe the Spartans would have prevailed.

the thing is I love Spartans as well but I feel like samurai is just elite at a point. so they have a better chance of Winning. they have so much good power especially their armour. I feel like they're more effective than Spartan
