@@MrsPenPal When this song came out I was in high school, it was a huge hit but to be honest I went for the songs not played on the radio by them. Don't Damn Me is a really good one and Coma is a even better one. In fact Coma hits me hard as I was on a self destructive path that almost ended my life. I loved your reaction to this song though.

This is Axl's song. He begun writing it years before it was anywhere close to being released. His vision for the entire song has so many layers, and as you said, so many emotions. It is a masterpiece. November Rain is my fav. song. GnR is my fav. band of all time. The video is indeed based on the short story "Without You" by Del James, but the song itself is not based on that short story. The video is a part of a trilogy: “Don't Cry,” “November Rain,” and “Estranged.”

Axl Rose's notes span nearly six octaves. Mariah Carey's vocal range isn't even that extensive. Axl has a lower baritone than Barry White, and can reach higher notes than Tina Turner and Beyoncé. Very talented!

This was the first band I was truly into, whose hard debut album roped me into rock music. But then they followed that up with much more elaborate, epic and accomplished songs like this. Their sound just grew by leaps and bounds. All sorts of deep feelings here, and as a group they had grown up.

I think I picked up on a clue to her death. When she was getting in the car to go to the reception she didn't smile at all, not even when he looked at her. I think she knew she was going to die. No one at all mentions this in any of the other reaction videos except one. I mentioned it to them and they were astounded when they rewatched and felt the same.

This really was an amazing song that is truly an amazing musical experience, and over the years, even though sweet of mine was the first guns n roses song I heard growing up and still love that song, November rain has become a favorite, because it is so complex and rich, not too mention slash playing that guitar and making it almost like tears falling, he truly made emotions with the notes he played 😁 love it. BTW I loved your reaction,it was soo fun because you really felt the music, and you are sooo beautiful btw 😍

It is not a "circle of life" video. It's never stated directly but there are hints throughout the video of what happened to the bride. Some hints: The glass in the coffin covering... something. The way she gets into the car The town focuses on only one store when he is walking by

November rain is my all time favourite song. However, it wasn't in the beginning it took some time to fall in love with this song. Sweet child of mine is more likeable as a song. What makes November rain so special is when you watch the video and see everything from the theatre, orchestra and the guitar solo everything falls in place and makes it complete and you can't undo the feeling for this song. I used to listen to it on repeat for over a year.

Great music, great song, and a beautiful video. Along with a sad, beautiful, and highly relatable story, I can see why it got so many views. I wasn't aware of this particular Guns and Roses song, so I was caught off guard when they showed the coffin toward the end. I thought Axl (as in the word ax or at, so you were right) Rose played the part well. I enjoyed the Slash guitar solo too. Slash was influenced by several of the great rock bands and guitarists of the 1970's, and he is also a great guitarist. Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, guitarist Jeff Beck, bands Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, ACDC, and Black Sabbath to name a few. Great reaction.

My fave Guns N’ Roses song. Love all of them but I’ve watched this video countless times. It is EPIC. Axl was the only writer I believe he worked on it for ten or more years. It’s part of a trilogy based on James story. This song is part 2 part 1 is the song don’t cry and part 3 is the song Estranged. All are classics. Listen to them in order to get the point of them. When they rereleased this album in 2022 for its 30th anniversary they redid the music and used a real orchestra and even redid the music video audio to have a real orchestra playing. This video was the first video prior to the KZbin era to surpass 2billion views. Slash improvised the guitar solo he did and the church he walks out of to play the solo they brought in to New Mexico just for the video and Slash said in an interview that the helicopters kept getting too close and was scaring him. They originally had an 18min version of this. I wish they would’ve kept it and released it.

Good reaction to a classic. But just to explain the video, it was actually the 2nd part of a 3-part song/video series by GnR. Anyway, the story is, that Axl Rose's character had a fiance, but he cheated on her and she ended up taking her own life with a gun. The entire wedding scene is him dreaming of himself and his then-alive fiance actually getting married. But that wedding never took place. What actually took place at the church was her funeral ceremony.

It's such a shame that if it isn't directly the reason, performances like this came to split the band. Axl was such a perfectionist, he really worked on this song for a decade or so,and it was my way or the highway. The others were quite fed up with his perfectionism (and a lot of other issues he had). But it definitely took a toll on the band to create songs like November Rain.
