This cake is absolutely awesome. Don't get me wrong, i love it as a whole, it's light, fresh, perfect for spring, but what really got me was the sponge. I mean, look at it, it's mesmerizing! I have never seen such a good looking, perfectly baked cake! Splendid job! Looking forward for some more!

Absolutely EPIC my Mammy talks about her childhood growing up in Dublin, how she misses her real soda bread, her white pudding, Gammon & Cabbage, how my nana would cook for us porridge with the milk sopping with just a tiny piece of sugar in the middle, How they made scones in Ireland, but in England they was not the same, I think a beautiful scone cannot come from a supermarket, but from a old fashioned cake shop still mammy says, "There better but still not the same" I am a beginner baker and disabled from a terrible accident, but I found this site and you have it all and more, So after buying every single piece of equipment That I need for cooking, All I need now is the ingredient's which I noticed in your Baking, Cake making, looks like I need to buy in Large Portions, In some Items, THANK YOU DONAL GR8 SITE looks like lovely friendly people on here, Wish me luck as they say practise makes perfect, Mammy has no idea Thanks Again Jo-Jo x

WHY DOES EVERY CHEF THINK THAT A SPLIT MIXTURE IS BAD; ALL IT IS IS THAT THE EGG AND BUTTER ARENT THE SAME TEMP, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF IT SPLITS ONCE YOU ADD THE FLOUR ITS USUALLY FINE AND IF NOT AFTER THE FLOUR IT WILL BE FINE AFTER IT IS COOKED
@AllasYummyFood8 жыл бұрын
wow this cake looks insanely good :)) how is the new kitchen? :))
@suckmysmheat55608 жыл бұрын
Does the butter have to be softened?
@kea71198 жыл бұрын
Along this beautiful butter lemon cake with butter cream frosting it is essential to serve yourself a glass of melted butter and it is very important that you grease the glass with butter and oil before adding the melted butter. To enhance the taste of every bite of the cake it is ESSENTIAL to also bite a bar of frozen butter on the side with some powder sugar sprinkled on it and remember, if it's not 500+ calories a bite it is not essential! ^-^
@RaeandTyke8 жыл бұрын
Eggs should be beaten before adding to your cake mixture. Folding in flour should be done in a figure of 8 movement meaning you don't need baking powder. This is the reason your cake didn't rise.
@Makeuploveculture8 жыл бұрын
Donal please please please tell me if you have a recipe for a dessert I used to eat in England at school. It was my favorite one and I don't remember what it was called but it was a sponge cake with warm custard on it. I have been fiendin for it ever since then and I no longer live overseas so I will have to make it myself. And I live in Tucson , Arizona now so definitely no British or Irish restaurants with authentic food. Please I need your help!!
