I think this is my favourite tour of hers, it's #1 in my list, definitely. It is so dark, theatrical, innovative, experimental & avant garde!! A masterpiece.

I simply adore this tour. It’s such a a theatrical presentation, and whilst we love the classic Madonna hits, I think, at that time, it was amazing just to focus on the last two previous albums and let them shine… with a small treat of some oldies but not overloaded. This tour really holds a special place in my heart. The vibe, the energy, it’s like you’re at a theatre show meets concert as opposed just a ‘pop concert’ - well done!

This tour has a special place in my heart because it’s the first time I had the chance to see M live. Plus she went out of her way to showcase the music of their era rather than feature her hits like most other artists do on tour, which she would commonly do herself. It’s truly the most unique out of all her concerts. I had the pleasure to see The Celebration Tour recently which was amazing and completely different from this. Both amazing in their own ways. But something about the Drowned World Tour will always be special.

Yeah, it seems like this is a lot of people's favourite, or close to the top. Maybe partly because it was a bit more focused on a couple of albums? She wasn't ready to become a legacy act, just playing the hits like the Rolling Stones..

My first in person tour. I love it. Post EVITA. and post birth of Lola. Her vocal range was insane, but she was with Guy and she hadn't toured in years and she gave out easily. Still my favorite performances because she gave it her all, and she rebirth'ed the live concert after Blond Ambition.

It was the most anticipated concert during that time bcoz there wasn’t an accompanying concert for Music LP. And what a treat it was!!! It got an unofficial video for Paradise Not For Me which kinda brings you to another world and still is an absolute artistic visually today. You cannot imagine the audience’s excitement for Frozen when the kimono sleeves covered almost the whole stage and when they broke away and the dancers ran across the stage was like “get ready for a new set” kinda feeling. If u like Holiday, Reinvention Tour had the ultimate banger!

You really hit the nail on the head with your points - so much of who she is and what interests her informs her artistic choices - from the importance of dance to a flair for theatricality, from her love of art and fashion to a reticence for looking back. This tour was initially a sore point for general fans (and really am not blaming them) who wanted to hear "hits" - but this is why she is a true artist - she had a vision for this show and she wasn't going to compromise (well, except for Holiday, which Nikki and Donna "begged" her to include on the set list) - and while like most everyone else (I think) I too would love for her to do another "pop" album with Patrick Leonard or work again with Nile Rodgers and/or Shep Pettibone - I still appreciate and respect her need to create as she sees fit - and time is already showing how those albums that the public initially find inaccessible - Erotica, American Life, Madam X - can endure and find appreciation as vital parts of her oeuvre

She may have been gone 8 years since her last tour in 1993, The Girlie Show, but man did she some back here in 2001 with a bang and a spectacular concert to welcome the new millennium. Luv it that she opened this with a confrontational, in your face-punk segment-to frustrate her critics who thought she has been chastised, but that she hasn’t changed one bit-she’s still as rebellious and irreverent, and her ending t-shirt message says it all (front-Mother; back F**k*r). Enjoyed your reaction.

Love your passion. Me and my friends used to pull out that squat-thrust move she does in Music at parties and on the dance floor throughout our 20’s, until my 30th birthday when my friend did one squat-thrust and broke her hip 😂 It was then we decided to put it to bed. Just shows how much of an athlete Madonna is.

This was the first Madonna concert I ever attended and my hairs stood on ends when she appeared. An amazing experience and everyone was pleasantly surprised when she did You'll See (in lieu of Gone). I wish I'd gone more than once coz it was over so quickly like a dream 😂😂😂

Great reaction! One of my favorites tour from Madonna 💕. Just a little fun fact: in some USA dates she sang You'll see instead of Gone. Saddly there's no official recording of it, but in my humble opinion it sounds even better than the original (even though I love the original version)

The second best World Tour of hers for me after Blond Ambition World Tour and The Girlie Show World Tour (the two have the top spot for me). The others following third and fourth spots are The Confessions Tour and Who's That Girl World Tour (her first world tour with pure energy and fire setlist). As a professional who does his/her work the best and of course following what is new, and also for the better setting the standards she usually, almost never, puts the same songs (although they are absolute classics) and shows over and over again always come up with something new and fresh, for the better. That's whay I, myself deeply love and respect her: her proper and strong character and her creativity.

This is my least favourite madonna tour...didnt like her looks at all, make up too severe and just wasnt the spectacle her shows are known for
