Penny's nails look so much better now. And snooooooooooooooow!!! I really wish it snowed down in Florida... oh well. People are already hitting the beach and swimming. They have been for the past few weeks. When I was an infant, and when I lived in Michigan, my mom said that I hated gloves on my hands. I'd cry when they were on but then I'd cry because my hands were cold during the winter. I don't think she ever mentioned how I reacted to snow... but I was way too little to remember it. Same with my brothers.

Cory, you know how when you first moved to Alaska you wanted an ATV? You should still definitely get one and you could add a plow to the front and plow your driveway and the street since it looks like the plows are a bit behind in you're neighborhood. I bet they sell an ice breaking rake thing to pull behind the quad as well! That would be awesome! Have fun in the cold and snow and send some down to Houston haha!

I know this is telling my age a bit, but back in about 1977 where I live in southern Missouri (again), we had a LONG snow storm that had 3 foot plus drifts and closed the schools for weeks!!! It was the most awesome winter memories I ever had because of all the fun I had playing outside. It caused a lot of hardships I could not understand as a child and my parents were probably happy that I was distracted with all the fun it was for me! I don't recall being sick that winter either, but I had clothes that had to dry by our 'heat stove' before I could go back outside to play again! 😀

Yes, Kristen hand crank is the best way to make ice cream. We would do that on the porch of my grandparents house. I'm so jealous that you, Corey can take a chair and go sit in the snow & drink (coffee, tea...). I'm sure it's a beautiful sight and probably nice and quiet.

My recipe for snow ice cream is: 4 Cups Snow, 1 Cup Condensed Milk (Milnot or Carnation), 1/4 Cup Sugar & 1 teasp. Vanilla. Mix the milk, sugar & vanilla together before adding to snow. To make it Chocolate add 5 teasp. Cocoa. Enjoy.

Here in Colorado, the spring snows are always lighter and fluffier. The Winter snows are denser. So wondering if making the snow ice-cream is best with spring snow. :) We just got over 2 feet of snow dumped. Will have to try it.

Cory, Just an idea. When you're blowing snow, try to throw it all in the same spot. Preferably toward your backyard. Then, once it gets high enough, you can build a fort inside of it! Or, you could blow it all off to the side by your deck. Once you get a few feet worth of snow, go and jump off the deck into the snow! lots of fun :)
