Two things: The electric guitar theme you always hear at the start of every song is Odysseus motif, as told by Jay Herrans, the strum guitar is Odysseus being vulnerable and human, and the electric guitar is him being strategic. Natural instruments are related with human elements while electric instruments are related to supernatural elements. You're not wrong, Jay intentionally recorded agitated breaths at the speed of the rhythm in the song "The Underworld" to give a spookier effect to the music.

Each saga shows a good representation of how Odysseus acts partly do to the influence around him. With Athena he was a warrior but still had his humanity. With Polites he was more open to being nice and showing mercy, not wanting to strike first. In Underworld he gives up the mercy and becomes the "Monster" in order to get home. In doing that he is literally becoming a different person just like the prophet said. In the next saga we see how different he is, specifically with the sirens and Scylla and finally with Zeus.

12:31 I know it's a little vague what the prophet means by this, but taking everything that happened before this and after this in mind, I'd like to think it's just a sort of impossibility for Tiresias' prophecy to help Odysseus as is get home. Odysseus 'becomes a monster' well in part due to the prophecy, and it helps him to get home later in the musical, but Odysseus has changed enough for him to be 'no longer you', as Tiresias says. On the other hand, if Odysseus didn't have that moment, he might have not been able to get home due to his philosophy during Zeus' little.. Thing. TLDR; I interpret the line "There is a world where I help you get home", "But that's not a world I know", being that the prophecy either changes Odysseus enough for it to no longer be him that gets home, or doesn't do such and results in him never getting home. ok this line of thought is out of my head buhbye

the song didn't say 58 men, it said 558, you just happened to miss one of the digits also while yeah ody did end up sacrificing 6 of his men, then the rest of his crew, the song did explicity say "i'll become the monster for everyone but us", and "so we all don't die", so ody was trying to bring back home as many people as he could with him back also fun fact, if you do the maths, then poseidon said 43 men left under his command, he had 600 flat, and now 558 are dead, other people can fill in the elpenor and perimedes lore and as for eury opening the wind bag, as much hate as he got on that, there wouldn't have been any consequences with poseidon if ody didn't dox himself, which that also probably wouldnt have happened if athena didn't try to push ody to going the full way on methods to make sure a cyclops is no longer a threat (although still mostly ody's fault because of his pride)
