I love how the song shows the full ego Zeus has, like he appears and you can instantly understand what type of character he is. I love it

This is long, bare with me a sec. These lyrics portray the absolute state of Zeus's ego. Zeus is so drunk on his power that he believes Thunder and Lightning are enttities, beings that obey him of their own will, rather than tools that are an extension of himself. Even Pride is a being, something he can bend and control. He commands them. "Thunder, bring her/Lightning, wield her." He gives them personalities. "Pride is a damsel in distress." If you think about it, it would be like lifting your own hand and being proud of it for obeying you. It's disgustingly arrogant, and the way the song portrays it is brilliant.

It’s not just this either, the song also hints at his… other favorite activity. “Try all she can not too confess its all the same when I apply all the pressure”

I would disagree with that interpretation. It's only wordplay and allusion of his.... Main activity.... Aka rapping woman. He refer to divine justice/punishment. He wield and bring justice and punishment through lightning and thunder. - who can undress pride out of a man - what can reveal your the nature of someone - who make kindgom fall - suffer the fate - take the damn for the crime - bring you ear until your fear - spear until your death is near - i am the judgment call Also Lighting wielder / wield her Thunder bringer / bring her He just made word play on these. But as order, like you say, it doesn't make sense. And Technically justice is a goddess He's also saying Ok you messed up, who is to take the punishment for this crime. You the captain, responsable of your crew action. Or your crew, who disobeyed you and made the mess.

If Zeus wanted to he could have made Odysseus actually say it rather than have him point That way his entire crew in the world knows that way there is a shadow without a doubt

Its funny how the part where Eurylochus is singing about the island, it has the same rythm as when Zeus was talking to Odysseus about the infant in the first song

fantastic job on the subtitles! I'm HoH and have struggled with quiet a few of the lyrics till now I also love the humor you put in on occasion (the smilies, the words scrolling past, the spinning cow, and so on) ^^

I haven't sleeping until 2 o'clock a.m. cause i were listening to this musical. It just.. brilliant. Wonderful. I can't find words. Huge thanks for lyrics. @@Dabeggu if you think abt it, eurylochus did open the wind bag that got them into this mess. And this isn't on topic, but in the real Odyssey, zeus didn't give him a option to choose he just struck the ship they were on.

@@Dabeggu eurylochus lead the mutiny, opened the bag, got mad at Odysseus for thinking with his head AND put the idea to attack the cows Mans been causing issues that lead to 600 men dying. He even wanted to leave the survivors of Poseidons attack with circe when she turned them to pigs Man was not thinking straight.

So... Zeus is supposed to be kinda dumb, right? Because he uses *so many* words and phrases just *sliightly* wrong; the verb "yield" means basically to give away or give up, not to make somebody ELSE do that, and "judgment call" doesn't quite fit, either. No other character's lines play fast and loose with the meaning of words and phrases, it's all either literal or an idiom used exactly as normal. He does it in God Games too! He uses "apprehensions" wrong there.
