I’m currently listening to How Not to Age on Audible, which I preordered last summer. I plan to purchase the written book as well. He is amazing to read/listen to and such an uplifting positive speaker. I have been working on becoming completely plant based for a while and am getting better all the time. I’m 76 years old now, so am especially thankful that “it’s never too late!” Thank you so much Dr. Gregor! Louise Jacobs

Nice talk. I am 67, a South Indian lady, and turned from ricebased vegetarian to rice based vegan in 2021. I also reduced my oil intake. I win medals in running ( both short distances and long), coach tennis and teach piano on weekends. My 5 young grandkids are impressed. The only supplement I take is B12. Accumulation of fats, cholestrol takes place in the arteries over the years by eating greasy oily foods, and animal products. Exercise certainly helps clean arteries off debris, due to the heart pumping blood faster and swiping away the accumulation of fat layers. But exercise is no patch to the oily, fatty foods we intake and in the tug of war ( over the years) the latter wins hands down and we succumb to dreadful diseases.

I think it’s wise to avoid oil or use very little of it. I personally don’t use it. Congrats on staying active and healthy later in life.

your body your choice. I love that. No chemical cosmetics, never ever. First of all, there is often alcohol, which is carcinogen. Then there might be unknown animal ingredients, which are totally disgusting. How about using cabbage leaves, lemon peel, strawberry peel on skin, which might be much better without any side effects. God bless!

I exercise every day...while puttsing around my house cleaning and stretching while l clean l can feel my muscles in action. Walking every day too....kicking the leaves or rocks up and down my long driveway. Sweeping daily too out back in the patio...gets my heart rate going. I feel l get my daily workout for sure. And my bonus is monthly deep tissue therapeutic massages faithfully. Dr. McGregor is an energetic guy with good info here. How not to age are good meaningful words that folks need to hear. And l'm sure his book is a good read

The Old Man, a pronoun of respect in some families, and I used to stand in front of the open fridge and eat cold hot dogs straight out of the package until our noses got cold or ran out. Still hungry? Where are those fig newtons? I'm still doing fiber rich foods. Nice review of your book. Thanks Oh yeah! He died at 65 of heart failure. I started jogging about a week later. Back to my walk. I turn 80 in January. No more jogging for these knees. If you're going to start serious exercising - get some quality coaching the first few episodes to lessen the wear and tear.

I was lucky enough to check out how not to die from the Phoenix library without a wait. However I didn’t read much and had to turn it back in and now there’s a wait. Believe it or not how not to age, the book is available in the Phoenix library. Last I checked it was a four month wait. It’s hard to read at all which is two weeks

Well, darlin', if you're aimin' to dodge the march of time, it's like tryin' to lasso a whirlwind in a meadow! First off, hydrate like you're a plant in the Southern sun, but hold off on too much sugar - it'll make you wilt quicker than a daisy in August. Munch on greens and fruits like you're at a garden party, and keep movin' your feet like you're dancin' to a fiddle tune. Don't fry under the sun longer than a cat nap on a porch; protect that skin of yours. Get your beauty sleep like a pampered debutante, and keep those worries as light as a feather on the breeze. Slather on that moisturizer like butter on a biscuit, and remember, a hearty laugh does more good than any potion you'll find. Sure, every wrinkle tells a yarn, but it's all 'bout how you feel in your boots, not just how shiny your spurs are!

Dr. Greger, always a wealth of information!! I love how he willingly shares all of this info from his books. You could get a lot of the benefits from his books without even reading them if you listen to his interviews and talks. But I don’t recommend that because the books are such a great reference and as entertaining as scientific research findings can be!

Happy holidays and congrats on 1800 episodes.I’ve watched a lot of the episodes especially ones with certain medical doctors and researchers. This holiday season I have been overheating but only healthy foods. Still in the past couple weeks I’ve gained a little bit of weight maybe. I haven’t weighed in in a while to get an accurate measurement. Also I need to pick up on exercise which I’ve slacked

It was fun to hear Dr Greger talk about thylakoids. Chef AJ, I discovered you several years ago when I was looking for Instant Pot recipes. I’d never heard of a plant-based diet! I remember you and John Pierre talking about thylakoids on your Weightloss Wednesday shows. You helped me lose 40 pounds! 😊

Does anyone know if a "cheat sheet" of How Not to Age can be found anywhere? It someone has read the whole book, they might have compiled notes of the main points. It would be practical application, the "do this list", like the daily dozen and 21 Tweaks were for his other books.

Walking on treadmill while filming might not give us motion sickness if he'd film from the side rather than the front. He could turn his head to the camera. The camera would have to be far enough away though, to avoid motion sickness for the viewers.
