Dr Greger gave me explicit permission to video and edit his talk. He requested I first show him my cut and WAIT until 11/22 to release this along when he releases his debut of this talk. Unfortunately, despite Dr Greger wanting to wait AVA released their own version of this before we did and I had already cut this long before they released their version. But, I waited patiently out of respect for Dr Greger.

What to do with all these dairy science departments at universities? As a vegan food scientist, I really feel sorry about all the money waste for researching and developing unnecessary, unhealthy and unethical food.

So grateful Dr. Gregor followed his passion and curiosity. I love to listen to his talks and for when I cruised through the titles on the VeganLinked channel, I was overcome with emotion because sometime I feel like I am standing over here on my own while I watch my younger friends go for surgeries, more Pharma and just get more unhealthy. I did give one of Dr. Gregor's books as a white elephant gift hoping it will make it self known. Each person must do the research and decide on their own. Thank you for supporting our lifestyle. Suzi

Thanks so much for watching and commenting! It is a very emotional undertaking for me as well and the experience and things I'm learning are just very overwhelming at times. I've also been working on the website veganlinked.com a lot lately. Welcome to join and share your story there and I will keep trying to make the website better. I'm working on one more website that's going to essentially be a sister site for vegan linked and is representative of what everything is culminating to. I literally just started developing this other site but you will be hearing about it hopefully Sooner than later 🙂 Big things on the way!

At the end of the day all I need to know is we can be as healthy or even healthier on a well planned whole food plant-based diet. And the totality of evidence seems to be in favor of a plant-based diet over any other diet as being most protective against chronic diseases whereas eating animals seems to increase risk for chronic disease and I'll cause mortality. But the pure fact that we can be as healthy or even healthier on a well-planned whole Food plant-based diet is all we need to know to not support the most violent jobs, most abusive situation for animals, the most invasive industry that causes deforestation, desertification, concentrated on my feet operations that toxic to surrounding communities and cause aquatic dead zones, zoonotic diseases, antibiotic resistant bacteria, all while being gravely unsustainable as it only results in about 20% global fit intake yet it uses 80% of agricultural land whereas plants use about 20% of agricultural land and results in 80% of global feed intake. Meanwhile animal agriculture kills trillions more animals it's just the most atrocious destructive thing to eat animals.

Okay you'll have to listen to this all the way through to the end to see what I mean. It's a little all over the place but I think the takeaway is it can raise cholesterol even if you use a filter to remove the cafestol, even with dark roast, even if it just raises your cholesterol a little that's probably not good. I noticed my cholesterol was a teeny bit higher and I wonder if it's from that so I cut out coffee about 5 days ago and I'm going to see how long I can manage LOL so far so good. And then when I have my blood work again I'll see if it looks any different but that's n of one so probably not the greatest experiment kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6q3YXeNmp6re5Ysi=dsKGs4BXWsu0R3kO

@VeganLinked put the mortality one again 😂 Dr Peter Rogers MD advises against coffee. I'm in my 3rd week without it and I'll never go back. My arthritis is significantly improved from giving up a bunch of daily poisons. I'm watching my mum die of cancer. I heard that diseases aren't genetic in the way of DNA, I heard they are genetic in the way that we all eat what our parents did. I gave up coffee, alcohol, salt, oil, sugar and nicotine. I feel a thousand percent better. Don't give up giving up!

Coffe has a high amount of acrylamide and also depletes calcium if im not mistaken. So i wonder if overall the benefits of other foods overall might beat out coffee when looked at as a whole?
@VeganLinked
@VeganLinked 6 ай бұрын
It's funny you should mention acrylamide. Nick the Nutrivore mentioned it recently regarding french fries (of course Dr G has before as well). But, if I recall correctly the evidence (according to Nick) isn't sufficient (in my words) against this being a problem at least with french fries. However, there's a recent podcast with Dr Greger going into further depth about coffee that I found recently here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6q3YXeNmp6re5Ysi=dsKGs4BXWsu0R3kO I think the takeaway in the podcast is that is may raise cholesterol even if you use a filter to remove the cafestol, even with dark roast, even if it just raises your cholesterol a little that's probably not good.

Here's something quick "But most of the human studies published so far have failed to find any links between dietary acrylamide and various types of cancers." a pretty interesting read: www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2013/11/19/246188051/remember-death-by-french-fries-here-s-the-story

Here's a more recent one, although it's still NPR, apparently they've been on this topic a lot lol. I think it's more recent: “I’m never going to tell people to not eat French fries or potato chips, but if you tell me you’re eating them every day, we would have some concerns,” says Stelwagen. “But those concerns are going to be much more about triglyceride levels, blood glucose levels and weight gain than a build-up of acrylamide.” www.mdanderson.org/cancerwise/5-facts-about-acrylamide-and-food-and-cancer-risk.h00-159538167.html

I had a lot of dha during my pregnancies and all 4 of my kids are autistic. Thanks pesticides. Where’s my families restitution? No wonder the autism increase is being glossed over and distorted. And to add insult to injury I can’t get my low functioning kids on the states long term care program for in home care and respite. If they dressed themselves even once they’re not considered disabled enough. Even though my 8 year old can’t comprehend the social norms associated with wearing those clothes correctly and without urine stains. “Not disabled, go get a job and support yourself.” Yeah but who’s going to watch my kids? And what about the emotional stress of interrupting their weekly school routines for multiple and inconsistent appointment times to the speech and occupational therapists? The government thinks I’m going to get hired with that kind of availability?? 🤬

What a joke-man... almost 1 hour of fallacies. He talks like politics, instead of science he seems to do a kind of spectacle or sell us a product. Sorry, I don't buy your lies... This guy's age is 50 and looks like my grandpa and he is pretending to sell an anti-aging book??

If you're concerned about his look then you're not really concerned about science but you've already demonstrated that. For the more he actually looks pretty great I've met him several times in person. For a studious person like him he's trim and vivacious. I'm 50 and I'm a grandfather. So what is your point exactly?

@@VeganLinked My point is that he looks much older and unhealthy than expected for his age so: a) He is not applying their knowledge to himself because he likes to get old quickly. b) He is applying his knowledge on himself but it works the opposite. Human beings are expected to live 120 years old in good health if they follow their natural design.
@VeganLinked
@VeganLinked 4 ай бұрын
okay so you went from being inconsistent to now trying to bail on your point and be even more inconsistent. I guess you're at least consistent at being inconsistent. You said he talks politics instead of science and that he's trying to sell a product. He's like exactly the opposite of what you're saying. All the proceeds from his book that he worked very hard on creating go to a non-profit that delivers commercial-free science-based content. You say he looks old but he doesn't because of like I already explained he's not overweight like half the population and he's very vivacious unlike the majority of the population. This is evidenced by how successful he is at being very productive with his time. I even have a video dedicated to his story. He is far more successful and relevant than you or any of your death-based alternatives. You're basically fixated on the messenger like an ad hominem were you attack the person rather than the point. And it's not even a logical attack since he's always basically look like this. A person is aging when they start looking different. But he doesn't look different than he did decades ago. You're just pointing at genetic things that are completely irrelevant. I know people in their 30s that look far older than Gregor. If you're looking for somebody to look a certain way I have hundreds of other vegans on my channel and I'm sure I have plenty that look significantly better and healthier and stronger then you will ever. So this renders your point completely moot. Focus on the quintessential thing here don't get derailed and fixated on some fallacy or other nonrelevant thing
