Just listen again, it’s all good info…. Or buy his book, it’s all broken down into chapters and subcategories. Support the guy who is doing all of this work for you.

@jcfitpro that's a long time to dedicate. Listen to everything all over again, especially after a work day, I wouldn't have time to talk to my family over dinner, and on my own time there's a lot of other things i/one could do with that time like research a new or different topic, garden, forage, try to find a new job, ect.

@@phillippinter7518 it’s 40 mins. Not a week, not a month, not a year…. 40 mins. 40 minutes of information that could potentially add years to your life. Sounds like a good investment. Health requires investment. Sometimes that investment is financial, sometimes it’s time, sometimes it’s effort. If time is not an investment you are willing to make, then, like I said previously, buy his book. Then you can add what ever post it’s or sticky tabs you want to help keep you organized. Simple.

His book is so much better than his podcasts, took me a month to get through it, but I made some definite changes in my diet. And I thought I was eating healthy watching Dr. Berg. I highly recommend How Not to Age.

Not a great fan of Berg but at least you get more than adequate levels of protein. Any low protein diet causes loss of lean body mass and we require more protein as we age, not less.

Where did you get triple brain loss compared to placebo? IIRC it only reduced brain inflammation in models of neurodegeneration. Resveratrol has been shown to lengthen telomeres, restore juvenile gene expression, and restore youthful phenotype to aged cells. It has lengthened the lifespan of fish, insects, worms, mice. Longer lived animals likely need NAD+ boosts to receive benefits due to resveratrol acting through sirtuins which use NAD+.

The salt studies are not convincing and can be explained in other ways. Yes, a majority of people in the US need to reduce salt, but there actually are a significant number of people who need to supplement with salt.

How do you maintain or boost bone density on a plant-based diet without dairy?

Do some research. You will see the minerals and vitamins needed for bone health are available in veg, especially greens. Dairy actually causes problems. Beware bias spread from the dairy council.

@@erinm2726That doesn't actually work for me as (a) veganism covers more than just the food philosophy and I do like a bit of honey from time to time and (b) as it's mentioned in this podcast the terms 'vegetarian' and 'vegan' frequently describe what you don't eat and it's possible to eat just as much junk even without animal products so hence the "Whole Foods, Plant-Based" term was created to distinguish it from the others.
@erinm2726

Oh okay. Sorry. So I guess I myself would be considered a Whole Foods Plant Based Vegan 😁🙃. I eat absolutely no junk food at all. There’s so many great foods and recipes out there being vegan, I don’t crave any form of junk food at all. I’m so happy I became vegan 5 yrs ago. ✌️🧘🏻‍♀️

@@erinm2726No apology needed! I call myself 'practically vegan' as that's teh closest I can get to how I eat. I started this last year as part of a college course, and it's been a process...I have eaten some of the old patterns here and there along the way but have found more and more how it just doesn't resonate with me anymore...like it tasted better in my memory and definitely doesn't feel as good in my body. I know I will continue to move forward and never look back.
