Heya Lucy! Rewatching this series cause I can’t get enough of it. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and you go into such depth and detail. I really enjoy hearing and seeing your experiences.

Found your channel today. Busy catching up! I recently got a Garmin and have switched to the daily suggested workouts. Was looking for others who had done the same. Enjoying them so far and training is manageable (sure I’d been doing too much before following other plans) 😂 Loving the content so far! ❤

Love your videos and content, and how relaxed you are talking to camera - great job :o) Curious how asthma affects your running and how you cope with it? (since I also have asthma and started running relatively recently - also thought you could not run with asthma!)

I’m really lucky that my asthma isn’t massively triggered by exercise - if anything, I’ve been told by my asthma nurse that running is helping my lung capacity! I’m pretty “severe” - I take a tablet a day (montelukast) as well as two inhalers twice a day - spiriva resprimat and fostair 200/6. I’ll usually take my salbutamol reliever before I run, and take it with me, but tbh I forgot the morning of Chester Marathon and only realised I’d forgotten at mile 22 that I hadn’t taken it beforehand 😅 I’m very regimental with making sure I take all my meds as I want to give my lungs their best shot!

And thank you for the lovely feedback! 🙂

Thanks for your lovely reply Lucy. Good to know that running is beneficial for asthma :o) Although running is hard, and I spend all my time just concentrating on keeping my breathing steady and under control. Most of the time my asthma is under control, but any cold or virus usually activates it - so I need to up my medication, and it takes time for it to settle down again. And yes, I always carry a salbutamol inhaler around with me, and also take a puff before running too. Good luck with your running, and I look forward to following your journey. Take care!

Greetings from the USA! I stumbled upon your videos as I was trying to figure how to use the Garmin suggested workouts… I’m in training for a full marathon, I’ve ran four half marathons in the last eight months… I’m so excited that you have made more videos to watch. It’s almost like watching a video diary.. knowing that the thoughts I have when running are shared by other runners. Look forward to watching your progress. (Of course and I type this, you’ve already posted through week 10… 🙂)

Haha! I feel like I've always been cursed with heartburn! Good luck on your half marathon journey and happy my experiment has inspired someone else to try! If this challenge proves fruitful over a 10K I might use it to train for Berlin Marathon... watch this space!

Welcome to youtube! My channel is around books, but I was in the past a keen runner and am trying go get back in to it. I have to say i found the Garmin suggested workouts to be a bit rubbish, and coming back to running I decided to try a Coros watch - excited to see if they are any better!

Funny that you talked about taking the Garmin feedback personally. I have been doing watch research, and was just reading about people getting constant negative feedback when you take time off for Injury. Maybe I don't want a serious run after all. Just a lifestyle/casual watch.

Hi Lucy, this is great content thanks - I’ve been wondering for ages how the Garmin training actually works- and your video is so helpful in showing it in real world use- I am a long term Apple Watch user and have wanted to move more to Garmin for this very thing - a training plan based on all the other metrics etc. May I ask do you still wear your AW to bed for sleep tracking as well or just the Garmin now?
@TheRunnerLucy8 ай бұрын
I do but purely out of habit 😅 I don’t think I need to anymore as I don’t look at Apple Health data since I got the Garmin - I don’t link Garmin with Apple Health as someone on Reddit said it was better to keep them separate. It’s a little weird wearing two watches but they each have their purpose! Glad you find the video helpful, thanks for watching! 🎉

Loving the content keep going 😊 I had a 745 before and got mugged and so my watch and phone were gone- I live in cape town, SA so I'm looking at getting the 255 or 265s (I've got small wrists for a guy) but enjoyed the size of the 745. Unfortunately the 255s is in between the 745 and the 255 regular
@TheRunnerLucy8 ай бұрын
The 265s that I’ve got is smaller than the 265, but the 265 has the AMOLED and I think is the same size as their larger watches like the 255 (46mm)
