One of my former students (from Cameroon) took the TEAS 6 times before he passed - but he passed! Once in Nursing school, he passed every course the first time. He passed the NCLEX on his first attempt! He is now working as an RN, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has already earned his BSN! Never, ever, give up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos! I am studying for the TEAS and my worst subject was actually English, so these have helped a lot! I'm not sure if you plan on making any more since I know these are older, but if you did make more, I have a suggestion. It would be really beneficial to have the sentences in non-caps. The reason why is because it would be beneficial to the student to see which words need to be capitalized and would also be helpful in preparation for the TEAS since I know that can appear in some questions. I know in several videos, I would have benefitted from that instead of having to research separately. Overall, I have nothing to complain about because you are an angel and offering a huge service to us all. Thank you!

However I did score in the 91% in reading nationally. So I would definitely watch her videos. But I was scared of the reading and English and I literally watched this playlist 4 times. I recommend spending more time on the science. Science was a lot tougher than I thought

Good job on the reading section! Do not be discouraged; many students do not pass the first attempt. I highly recommend that you watch Brandon Craft's videos for math - they are the best resource, without a doubt. For Science: ww.khanacademy.org, www.bozemanscience.com. In addition, there are Science files on the ATI TEAS study group on Fb that are supposed to be helpful. Just make sure if you use the files, you make your OWN notes (active studying). Good luck!

Hello Professer. Your videos helped me on the TEAS 6, scoring a 90% in reading! I thank you very much. Do you have any newer videos by chance or recommend any other content/content creator for upping my grade in the reading and English portions? I will be taking the TEAS 7 shortly! Thankyou!

Hi, unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the HESI. However, I have heard from many students that the HESI is not as tricky as the TEAS, so I recommend that you use regular studying material for that. The grammar information contained in the English Language & Usage section will definitely help with the HESI if there are grammar questions. Good luck!

Hi Professor, thanks for doing these videos, they are very helpful. I only have 1 minor suggestion when you have free time, you can label or group them into "English" or "Reading". Thanks

Alan, please do not get discouraged. As I recently responded to another student, it is not uncommon at all for students to have to retake the TEAS. I saw that all the time when I was the TEAS Coordinator. Keep studying, and don't neglect the other subject areas either because you will want to do well in those areas, too. Remember: read the question FIRST, manage your time, and don't over-analyze the question. Good luck --- don't give up!

Hi! Would you recommend reading all of the questions first and then reading the passage, or read one question first and then answer? Meaning read each question find the answer, then read the next question and find the answer? thanks!
@carolynmcallister1496
@carolynmcallister1496 5 жыл бұрын
Definitely try to answer each question as you go. So, read the question, answer, then move on. I also recommend that you do not skip any questions if you are not sure about the answer because you might not have time to go back and answer it. I personally think that after one minute, if you still aren't sure of the answer, GUESS, and move on. Good luck!

OMG! First minute of this video tells it all! I cant thank you enough!! Why would they make a test without giving you enough time to read the full passage! Because let me tell you…I run out of time every time! Im one of those dumb students who summarizes the passage! What a joke! Then after finally reading the question, I realize I didn’t even need to read the 2-page story! Ridiculous! Boy do i have alot to learn about this stupid test.

No, don't flag it. If after a minute you are unsure of an answer, guess - and move on.. You can jot the question number down on the scrap paper if you want, and then if you do not run out of time, you can go back and check your answer Good luck!
