Thank you so much Professor!!! I took my Teas today and passed with flying colors. All your videos were so helpful and I even had a extra 17 minutes to spare. All your tips were perfect and the reading portion was one of my highest scores. Anyone studying for the Teas please watch her videos. They were very helpful

Any passage that appears in a newspaper is NOT primary, and it would most likely be considered "Persuasive" on the TEAS. Key words here: "on the TEAS." Please don't over analyze!!!!

I do have a question professor Mcallister, would encyclopedias be considered a primary source or no?
@carolynmcallister1496
@carolynmcallister1496 5 жыл бұрын
Ask yourself...did the person written about in the encyclopedia actually write the information himself/herself? Nope. Not a primary source. And please remember (for the purpose of the TEAS), if a passage is factual, it is expository, purpose is to inform, and would likely be found in an encyclopedia. Good luck!

What type of passage is a letter From Abraham Lincoln?
@carolynmcallister1496
@carolynmcallister1496 5 жыл бұрын
If it is a letter written by him personally, it will be considered a primary source, and it would also be an expository passage since he is a former president of the US.
