Yes, students are telling me that my videos did help them pass the TEAS! I think that is most likely because I teach strategies specifically for the TEAS. Good for you for not giving up! It often takes some students several attempts before they pass. Just keep your eyes on the prize, and good luck to you!

Are you referring to the NCLEX? My strategies do not work on that exam. But my niece, who is a Nurse Practitioner, told me that when she took the exam, she focused on: "keep them breathing; keep them safe." Hope that helps!!

Test-taking can be extremely difficult for people who have anxiety issues. First, remember this: a bit of anxiety before a test is actually a good thing; it is your brain telling you that it is ready. Secondly: Some people suffer from such intense anxiety that it is paralyzing. If anxiety has this effect on you, practice deep breathing. During the exam, inhale slowly through your nose (slowly count to five) and then exhale slowly (counting to five again) through your mouth. Do this 3 times, and you should begin to feel more calm. I wish you the best!

I have the Mometrix ATI TEAS secrets and it also lists "Technical Passage" just thought everyone should know that might be on there as well. Says "Technical writing is common in medical and technological fields, in which complex ideas such as mathematics, science, and engineering". So if I get something with those topics I'm assuming the answer is a "Technical Passage".

Expository example is a textbook it’s all factual. The purpose of this is to inform and is found in the encyclopedia. Persuasive..look for opinion words. Purpose is it persuade. Narrative a person story. Look for personal pronouns. I they we now…look for quotations. The purpose is to entertain.

I recommend reading the question first so that you will know what to look for. Many students will read the entire passages first, and then by the time they read the question, they have forgotten what they read in the passage. It is not always necessary to read the entire passages. Good luck!
