Dear Jean, I have always loved you and your teaching style. I just stopped commenting because I always say the same thing. You can repeat yourself all day long Jean! I love the way you teach and I have to be truthful Jean, I have watched your videos from the very beginning and have enjoyed everyone of them. I have mentioned this to you before that it's like being in the same room with you. Teaching and joking and telling us stories, well, here's my truth, I don't quilt! At least I didn't until I started watching you. I still don't quilt but I did put 4 small charm squares together to make a cosmetic bag. You taught me how to do this. So if I ever start to quilt I'm going to watch all your block party videos again! Yes, I watched every one of them. Lol your wonderful. Tell those naysayers to take a hike! I love you, your stories and your tutorials so please don't change. If they want a quilt lesson then they need to pay for one, either online or in a quilt shop. I want to hear about you and your family and friends - it's about community. More than that it's a hobby and should be fun, not all about how to ensure perfect points, etc. I've found your repetitions helpful, it's always worth checking and clarifying. I'm from UK with Londoners as parents and so I'm sure your husband has some choice advice! You've dealt with it very gracefully - challenging their negativity and explaining and giving them more information. The haters are gonna hate, shame, but true. You dealt brilliantly. Love to you and yours. Praying for Maxwell especially xxx

When I started watching your videos, I was a beginner and the repetition really helped me a lot. I didn’t have to pause the video a hundred times like I did with other tutorials. Having to do that would just get me confused and frustrated, so I love your style of teaching😊. I also love hearing your stories and hearing you talk about the process. Quilting is not just a cold process, following diagrams and patterns, measuring and cutting. It’s an artistic representation of the quilter and her (or his) personality and life and I always love to know the person behind quilt. Thank you for bringing heart and humor to the process and inspiring me to keep trying and stop stressing about technicalities. I’ve found my own style and tried all kinds of new things because of your style of teaching😊. Keep doing you, Jean! 💕

If you do not mind my saying this, God bless you Jean! I am liking your method of approaching projects. You have given me the encouragement to think outside the box. The last two quilt tops I have not purchased a pattern. The over-sized baby quilt was made with picking out fabric and colours that played together nicely. It is at the long armers right now. The current quilt is being made using Christmas fabric fat quarters. One of my non-sewing daughters was with me when I was picking out the fat quarters. She took exception to my choices about that they did not go together. My response was I do not want them to go together. They are to be a mish mash of fabrics. I had an idea in my head and went from there. I made 5.5 inch squares from 11 fat quarters then sewed them together to form a flowing pattern right to left. Now that same daughter sees what I was going for! Both her and her sister both have asked me who is this quilt for! By their tone of voice it sounds like they each want it. Yes I am rambling on but I know you get that! ; ) Thank you Jean for encouraging me to use my creative side of my brain.

I am a beginner and it gets so frustrating watching some of the other youtubers who can whip up a perfect quilt in 6:37. Hey Jean, I just had to stop the video and make a comment I was so upset about the negative commenters. I cannot figure out why people have to be so rude. Just because they can hit the comment button and say anything they want does not mean that they should. They would never say the same things to your face (Or maybe they would. People nowadays have become very nasty because of social media.). All of us need to be mindful that these YT presenters have feelings and are doing what they do out of kindness so we need to always treat them with kindness.

I love how you present the information, you make it personable and you show the quilters have a personality we just don’t sit in the room stitching and putting things together, we think about it we pray about it. And although it fun not everyone is gifted this way. Love you sis.

Jean, Throughout my life, I have discovered that there are individuals who are quick to judge, quick to criticize and quick to put forth their beliefs and their opinions on others. Please know that you have a passion, and your passion is not only quilting but also assisting others through your tutorials and your years of experience. I, a seasoned quilter, as well as many others who have quilted their entire lives, are watching you. The beginner quilter too is watching as well as those who fall in between. Your sense of humor is refreshing. Your stories make us all laugh, and your commentaries make you human; they make you, YOU!. There are always going to be a few bad apples in life . Throw out the bad apples and know, innately know, that you have a gift.

The whole idea for KZbin is to find information and/or entertainment. Many offer beginning quilting but not all are entertaining. I watched many different channels and was uninspired. Then I found you. You fit me. You lift me up and you make me smile. You helped light a fire within that urges me to create and then you teach me how. Who could ask for more? I feel sad for those people who use negativity to make a point. Especially when it’s an opinion. Over 15k subscribers think you fit too. That small handful that don’t need to continue to search for someone who fits them. LOVE the quilts and looking forward to the tutorials 🥰

Jean I think you are the best. I like the fact that you repeat yourself. I still go back and rewind to make sure I heard you right. I have dyslexia and it helps me that you do that.
