That was a solid soul grind! Down ledges are definitely a different beast. I always get in my own head with down rails and ledges. Glad you're liking those Sola frames. I might invest in a pair of those to compare to the GC Aluminum 60mm frames. Great video!

Thanks for the support 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I feel you there, it took a while to get comfortable with the down ledge, but once I did I'd definitely prefer it to learn new grinds on. You get to just jump on and let gravity do it's thing 😜 I haven't tried the GC frames but they look pretty similar to me so I'd be keen to hear what you think about them compared.

Well done going for the x-grind! Looks like you were able to break in the sharp edge on the h-block. I am so jealous of that launch to resi ramp. You will be doing a back flip in no time.

Looking good on the spine and with backsides. That's my next step. I finally got the spine and backsides are coming on...gotta put both together. Aluminum frames are very interesting...also very pricey!

Thanks man! Backsides are my go to trick for coping, for some reason they're just comfort for me - at least compared to the alternatives. The spine has pretty much been my warm up method since the start, day 1 I took a lot of falls trying to jump it, but after a few weeks it became completely normal. They are pricey but I love the Sola Alloy Frames, for park skating though! Love the sound and the feel. Thanks for the love man ❤️

Great soul grind down that box mate! On the X grind, are you puting your back foot on the topsoul position? Have you tried the front one?

Rolling Family thank you 🙏🏻 soul grind is my go to on that ledge. Yep, so back foot top soul, front soul. The other way was a bit more of a struggle, what gets me is that I can get the same grind easily on a coping box that’s flat. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Aggressive Chef i feel you mate. I also find down ledge so much harder. I guess that your feet land on different height levels and that is tricky a bit :)

@@VandKoala honestly that could be it, after watching the clips of me doing it I found I just wasn't getting that top soul locked so it's just a matter of getting that knee lower and sitting down into it a bit more.
