Really enjoying your podcast! I use to watch you on the knitting posse but I prefer the one-on-one format as it is more relaxing to knit along. Your “ANDS” are alway interesting and thoughtful, with beautiful yarns and makes, it’s a joy. Thank you and congrats on 1k!

Thanks for your sweet note! The "ands" give me a little space to go off topic and give everyone a chance to skip the ending if it's not of interest. Sometimes knitting-related and sometimes totally different!

Congratulations on 1k subscribers Lorien 🎉. Another great episode with your gorgeous knits and interesting and helpful content. Thank you for speaking up about what’s going on in the world. The youth of our country deserve so much better, as does everyone. No one should need fear being part of a mass shooting at school, a place of worship, a shopping mall, a place of business or anywhere else. #commonsensegunlaws #neverforgrtnewtown 😢

I too enjoy your one-on-one podcast. There are no interruptions (Cooper not included) or talking over each other. I feel you are very focused, have excellent content, and easy to knit with. Thank you for putting so much into each episode.

Thanks for your sweet comment! I appreciate it. It is definitely different talking to myself (or Cooper!) for 30+ minutes - I've been finding my way! Glad you're knitting along - I almost always have a podcast playing while I knit too!

Hi Lorien: Congratulations on 1k subscribers! Love your amazing finished projects and WIPs. Yes, I hope that our country will find a solution soon to the misuse of guns so that schools, workplace, groceries stores, subways, parks can stop having unfathomable shootings resulting in senseless casualties. Ever since my kids were toddlers to this date, they are adults, it is still happening with greater frequency and intensity, unfortunately - 32 years! I used to work in the school system where part of professional development is to address what to do when if an intruder is in the building - code words had to be set up for that purpose. How sad! I am sure when I was a kid in school, my teachers did not have such discussions - very sad reality! Thank you very much for sharing. Continue success with your awesome podcast. Keep up the wonderful work! Happy knitting and crocheting! ❤❤

Thanks so much for your note. Gun violence seems to be part of American society today but I just don't understand why we can't make certain changes and find a compromise. As you wrote - "happy knitting and crocheting" back to you!

Very much enjoyed your latest episode. Always enjoy your insights, tips, and your beautiful finished objects. I am currently making the Battenberg Blanket and it is quite enjoyable and so portable. I alternate between making a white square and then fish a colorful mini out of my project bag and it almost feels like opening an Advent Calendar all over again. I make my little squares one round larger than the pattern calls for. Looking forward to all of your future episodes. ❤😊

Your sweater is stunning, and I love the color palette. I appreciate the term “Countdown calendar.” I’ve never heard that before and it feels much more inclusive to me than “Advent.” Thanks for a great Podcast. I’m glad I found you. Since I am post menopausal, I am pretty sure that is why the algorithm directed me to you.😂 I can tell you from the other side; it gets better! ❤

@@Yarnloveturtle I had to watch today in two parts, so I didn’t see your statement about the gun problem in the US until just now. I truly appreciate your comments. I am a volunteer with Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America and I know how important it is for people with influence (yes, you!) to speak about about it. I live in Ohio where, unfortunately, we don’t have lawmakers who support common sense gun legislation and we have a very steep climb here to get anything done. With hope, we will see some change after November. THANK YOU for your words! I am not Jewish, but you don’t need to be to feel the pain and desperation of the families of the hostages. I have thought about Hersh for months, and learning of his death made me physically ache for his parents, his mother in particular. We must protect Israel and free the Palestinian people from the death grip of Hamas.

@@StickToYourKnitting Thanks for your comments and solidarity. I try not to get political - there are plenty of places to go for that - but we live in this world and it's impossible not to be impacted. And yes about Rachel Goldberg Polin - she's so relatable and eloquent and my heart hurts for her and all the families impacted - almost one year! And thank you for volunteering for Moms Demand - I'm a follower and supporter. We do have a climb but there is hope!

Thank you for another great podcast, knitting, and yarn inspirations. I have 3 skeins of color changing yarns, and you have given me some ideas. I, also, l Iive in CT, with relatives in the school systems. It is beyond think able that this violence exists. Also that, their school curriculums have to include lockdown instructions.

You make beautiful knits and I remember you on the knitting posse. It would be great if you could move back some so that when you stand up we can see the whole garment instead of you stretching to show us the bottom its hard to get an idea of the whole thing on you or if you want to take pics and add them but i think you said you don’t want to edit. The “knitting and…” channel maybe do a poll and ask folks what word should follow “and” maybe “The knitting and more” or the knitting and life channel or the knitting and stuff lol

Thanks for your helpful comment. I have an incredibly "low-tech" setup so far and I don't own a mannequin. I am pretty reliable about posting full size finished object photos on my instagram account, if you happen to tune in there. I'll think about the "and" idea - it was challenging to find an available name!
