What in the world kinda crack is Larry on? What you are saying about the wielder of a sword is half right and you are so wrong on the other half. If you have Mihawk or whichever individual you want....use 2 blades, we will say 1 is the butterknife and the other is the sword Mihawk normally wields. He can do more with the sword he normally wields because it is a better sword. If he puts the same amount of Haki and skill into both swords its not going to makeup the fact that the butterknife will never compare. So how in the HELL do you not see Sebastians point? I'll put it another way. If you have 2 individuals with the same amount of Haki mastery and sword mastery but 1 has a drastically better sword with unique abilites like enma....the one with the stronger sword wins.

The Supreme Sword debate can be solved using Mihawk's quote when he first faced Zoro "I don't hunt rabbits with a cannon"... This implies that his destructive capability is much higher using Yoru than a butter knife.

Not to mention when Zorro fought me hawk and they did the final attack on each other two out of three of Zoros swords broke. The one that didn’t was his wado ichimonji a supreme grade. The two regular blades broke.

Zoro's flashback when cursed swords are explained also states that the sharpness, grade, (tenacity/will) of the blade mattered. Each blade he made became less and less powerful after enma To add on every time zoro gets a new sword he tested out the power difference from the last.

For the Sword Debate, I understand both sides fr but I’m on Seb, the perfect way to explained it is like when a Haki user picks up a stick and use 100% of power in the attack then afterwards the stick is demolished from the power output that it had to be used. The same thing can be said for a regular sword or weapon like if Mihawk puts full power into a sword that doesn’t have the same blacksmith talent like a supreme grade blade

1:49:26 I think the best way to explain the Grade system in a way everyone can understand is that it's like a built in multiplier for the user, the higher the grade the sword, the more output is required, and it gets magnified exponentially more the better made the sword is so it can channel that profuse amount of Haki better; Literally ANY blade can be black, but a 2× multiplier isn't as strong as a 10×, y'all need to rewatch DB, go back to the roots 😂😭☠️

On the blade debate, to put it like this, say you’re in a race against like dom toretto or something. You got a corvette, but he has a minivan. It doesn’t make much sense to say dom would win the race bc, even tho he’s a way better driver, he’s not in a car that he can fully utilize his skill in. But even tho you’re less skilled, you have a car that’s on a different level. If every blade has the same haki potential capability then the blade system goes out the window. I can’t believe mihawk butter knife has the same haki potential as yoru, Larry would call it bad writing

Blade strength has to matter. Perfect example is Zoro vs Mihawk. When Zoro lost, both of the regular swords broke when the Wado didn’t. Durability and strength of your sword is necessary to allow the welder to utilize their full strength.

The user haki might break it if it's a bad quality balde. What’s the point of having blade grades if it doesn’t matter? Musicians use professional equipment because it’s more efficient but of course they could still use a beginner level instrument. But still professional equipment is objectively better No one would make supreme grade blades if it made no difference

I honestly didn't get why the Graded Sword debate was even a debate - the whole concept of Blackening a Blade is About making it stronger, in a sense that it can withstand more Haki output (from the wielder) AND clashes. So yes, Mihawk's Butter Knife, if it's not a Graded Sword OR has not been Forged Black (since any Sword can be forged Black, as it has been said) - that Blade will break after clashing enough with a Top Tier; The Sword is an entention of the wielder, yes, ultimately it's the wielder who is the winner of the match. But there is a reason why Swords are Graded, and have almost destinies, of a kind. The higher graded your Sword is, the more difficult it is to control, the more will it demand Haki from you; but it also can withstand more Haki.

As to the blade quality debate: when Mihawk finished Zoro, zoro blades broke except 1. The wado Ichi. The other two broke. The grade of the wado is higher then those. They were all hit with the same attack yet those shattered. Let me know what you think. 😊

and when will One Piece fans stop the "Mihawk is better at sword skill BUT Shanks is better at Haki so overall power goes to Shanks" bs? All of Shanks feats so far have been sword feats/skills which is powered by his Haki. If Shanks use all of his haki to the max, then his attack would still be a sword attack/feat/skill (swordsmanship) and it would be his highest level of power with his sword. So if Shanks overall power with the sword is more powerful than Mihawk's overall power with the sword then, Mihawk is not going to be the stronger swordsman. lol

Stop using the Mihawk vs Shanks fight to Mihawks disadvantage. That's all head cannon. The duels were a draw and ever since then it was not stated that Shanks developed any more than him.
