Interesting as usual, expression/use of Japanese idioms is pretty good. Perhaps one more exercise could be added: if you work harder, xxx would be improved faster & more. "Sureba, suruhodo, ...." Here's a thing. I think "callus" would be the one rather than "octopus", Masa sensei, for "mimi ni taco"! Thanks!
