I finally got my sock knitting mojo back after quite a long time! I start with a provisional cast on and then knit a sock tube and then do afterthought everything (cuffs, heels and toes). I love it! I feel like it goes so fast and I just love how mindless and free and meditative it is to just get to knit knit knit knit knit forever. ☺️

Hi Kay! Your projects are always so gorgeous and so inspiring! I’ve got to purchase those new patterns! We were on the rain/snow border so we got very little accumulation of snow this week. I like when it snows on the weekend, so I can sit under a blanket, knit, watch a movie and watch the snow fall. I don’t particularly care to drive in the snow. Your temperature blanket is turning out so cute. I gave up on mine last year, but I was crocheting tiny squares for high & low temp, then sewing them together. I didn’t like the sewing part, and I didn’t like how the fabric was turning out, so I eventually tossed it out. I agree to work on what makes you happy! 😊

Watching your podcasts definitely brings me joy. I'm sitting out on our verandah on the cool tiles on a warm and humid Sunday afternoon in Vanuatu, knitting on some self striping cuff down socks in pink for my 4yr old. I'm on the second sock and really wanting to finish them by the end of January! I have lived in some tropical parts of the world where rain is treated like snow is there. We pour hot drinks and cancel going out unless really necessary and we bake and knit and have family time. I also do like snow days when I live in Scotland, but often like going out sledging or skiing in the snow, so I don't find it as restful. Hope you had a restful day, snow or not.

I live in Australia and we don’t get much snow, but recently we moved to Orange which is “Australia’s snowiest city” and my kids were hoping that meant snow days but really it just means we occasionally get a tiny amount of snow that sometimes sticks to the ground. However our first snowy day here was a solid 8+ inches and they called a snow day and it was so much fun to be stuck inside with the fire going and the world all white around us! Apparently it hasn’t snowed that much for about 20years so we’re not expecting a repeat anytime soon!
