A controlled shot is a beautiful thing when it all comes together on a three-D target and is even more impressive on a live animal. Now if we can only Control the animal from reacting to your shot every time, (Bow obviously ) I love Joel's teachings and I love Tom Crum's instructional videos. There is a lot of great info there. The courses will definitely make you a better archer, especially on how to execute a perfect shot, but proper execution doesn't guarantee anything when it comes to hunting. Missing is a part of bowhunting. Yes take the courses and be the best you can be, you owe it to the animal. However, don't be hard on yourself when you miss, you will still miss or make a bad shot if you hunt long enough. Brian great videos.

Great stuff, I had a shot at a wolf with my bow, perfectly broadside at 60, all the time in the world, a shot I can make easily, I put that arrow right over his back and he just walked away, an opportunity I don't imagine I'll ever get again.

If you’re going to interview, you need to let the person talk. This guy wants to hear himself talk instead of letting the person he is interviewing speak. Just my opinion.

Since the beginning, man has been a hunter. And btw, that guy who is the hunter from the beginning, did not have a compound bow! That is why, for me, when I hunted with a release and sights, it was not very satisfying. So, I am going to apply Shot IQ to trad bow. I think I have turned the corner to now know what to do to get really better. It is CONTROL and STOP WASTING TIME during practice. These are the things I learned from SHOT IQ. I think I shold take the online course. What do you think? Shold I take the in person course? thx. I am The Hunter. The hunter since the beginning. Man has always been a hunter.

Hi: I am somewhat of a archer who has achieved things: ie: I did take down a bear in 2008. I really took it for granted. It was with a compound and when I executed the shot, it really was no different than target practice. It felt so much not different (in terms of the shot) that I actually gave up on compound hunting. But, it seems that from what you are saying, what I did was really kind of an accomplishment: ie to be able to execute in real time just the way I executed in practice. I guess I had achieved more than that for which I gave myself credit. Right? Also, maybe if I had kept at it, I would have developed target panic? Is that what would have happened? [it sounds like that is what you say happens to a lot of people: good at beginning and get bad.] I will tell you: when I shot the bear, the release was a surprise: just like practice. Anyways, I am now in traditional bow and I think I just turned the corner: this AM, I let down 4 or 5 times due to knowing that my shot sequence was not progressing in a controlled fashion!!! This is all thanks to Shot IQ. So, we'll see. I think I will just keep getting better. I want to get good solid enough shot after shot that I can take animals with it. Thx.
