DESCRIPTION
In this episode, hosts Jordan Bloemen and Scott Francis Winder take you deep into the clandestine world of cyber espionage with the unraveling story of Project Raven. Discover how Laurie Stroud, a former NSA operative, made a pivotal career move to CyberPoint, only to find herself entangled in a high-stakes operation working alongside the UAE's NISA agency. As the layers of secrecy peel back, Bloemen and Winder explore the ethical and legal dilemmas that arise when cybersecurity professionals shift from defensive roles to offensive cyber spying.
Dive into the sophisticated tactics employed by Project Raven, including the deployment of advanced malware like the Karma exploit, which enabled unprecedented surveillance capabilities. The hosts shed light on the complex relationship between international intelligence agencies and the murky boundaries of legality, especially when targeting both foreign adversaries and unintended American citizens. Through engaging discussions and expert insights, learn how personal morality clashes with national security objectives in the realm of modern cyber warfare.

From Laurie Stroud’s critical decisions to the eventual FBI intervention, Bloemen and Winder reveal the intense pressures faced by those working in the shadows of global cybersecurity operations. This story not only showcases the intricate mechanics of international cyber operations but also raises profound questions about accountability and the future of espionage in the digital age.

I have had several zero days found on my phones. Been thru 60 plus phones in last three years. No restart, reboot, or factory reset works. All new accounts on every new phone that are never revisited once hacked. Anybody wanna help a guy out? I have run several phones thru hybrid-analysis and CVE dates begin once I scan my phone...

00:53 "you are an OFFENSIVE cyber security professional, a cyber spy" emmmm that isnt what "offensive cybersecurity " is . offensive cybersecurity means white hat hackers. a spy would be called an "internal threat actor" ... i like your podcast but i mean getting these beginner things right would be good for someone with a channel called hacked . you just called an entire sector of the good guys in the industry "spies" ..
