In the Netflix documentary it showed that "Bobby" was buying Kirat all these gifts including necklaces and flowers when in fact it was Simran that was buying them. This make's me think that perhaps Simran was in love with Kirat? Perhaps? Anyone else think that?

Yup! I think Simran has had a huge crush on Kirat for a long time and to Simran this relationship her "bobby" avatar is having with Kirat is very real and very important and what seems to us and Kirat as a lack of remorse or empathy is resentment Simran feels for not having Kirat reciprocate the feelings Simran feels for her.

Tempting to think that, but I feel it's deeper than that. The fact that Simran showed zero remorse or empathy towards Kirat means she did not, on a deep level, care for her. The crush - maybe, but on an obsessive compulsive side, without actually considering another person

Also that statement that mentioned this dates back to when they were kids makes me wonder if Kirat perhaps used to bully Simran or pick on her which let's be honest as kids we often do. The whole thing is screwed up but by no means was Kirat innocent in all of this. By some bizarre fate/miracle the universe puts you in the same building as the man you are supposedly dating. You then go up to this man and say hello it's me and he says I don't know you and you just brush that off? That's madness. Even that early on into the whole thing Kirat was hit with realisation that something could be wrong but yet she still ignored it. 🤦🏽‍♂

I run a private investigations company (my YT channel is just a bit of fun and a hobby when travelling) and our business has gone off in a complete different direction over recent years with Catfishing cases. I wouldn't be lying if I said we take enquiries daily regarding women (for the most part) in these exact situations. It creates absolute hell and despair for these women and rightly should now be a crime and one that carries a hefty sentence too!

When I reunited with an old friend he told me stuff that I immediately didnt believe so I reverse image searched and found him out. I think it was maybe a case of narcissistic supply. From what I understand, ppl who have untreated narcisstistic personality disorder have a sort of compulsive need to exert control over others, to manipulate and put them down, in order to feed a false sense of superiority. This narcissistic self image is very brittle and needs constant validation through this kind of behavior, and it's also the only thing that protects them from their actual traumatized self, which is actually more like a lack of self, because their development was stunted. Essentially they were made to feel so worthless that they don't even see themselves as human, and the narcissistic behaviors compensate for this and allow them to keep functioning, so they can't stop, which means they also end up in self destructive cycles. The "supply" is the person or people they latch onto, in this case Kirat, to control and manipulate. It's disturbing but it's also a defense mechanism, they don't really have another way of functioning, unless they can get help.
