I honestly think Zack rejected Bliss because he lead with his insecurities. He was so scared of rejection that he felt Irina was a safer option, than Bliss who has a more ‘well-to-do’ family and upbringing, aka, he thought Bliss and her family would reject him. Zack’s whole identity is wrapped in shame, and he projected his mother a lot, to see if his potential partner would accept her or not.

he also wanted to feel superior. he wouldn't have that with his intellectual equal, Bliss. But this young, silly, mean girl who is also an immigrant- well that's someone he can feel like he is in charge of the relationship. I also think he wanted someone who wasn't that into him due to his mommy issues. His mom probably forgot his birthday too

@@mwoods4608 I don’t think so because I don’t think he knows how to feel superior because of his fear of rejection, and it can tell by the way he introduces himself to them all, he didn’t introduce himself as a lawyer, just in case that went enough for people, he introduced himself as a stripper etc then says no I am actually a lawyer in the hopes people will be relieved and accept him, I don’t think he knows how to be superior

Paul honestly deserves a lot better than Micah. Micahs friends think she deserves better, but Paul is honestly way out of her league in my opinion. Her friends comments made me so mad, they were so disrespectful. Not a big fan of Micah and Irine, they are such bullies and childish.

I think Zach really regretted the choice he made, and decided not to miss the opportunity AGAIN, to express his true feelings to Bliss, without seeing her as his “better than alone”. In fact, before Bliss and Zach met, Paul makes him a comment that he should try something with Bliss and Zach replied: I'm not sure, because, you see, the thing with Bliss… is that she deserves someone who CHOOSES HER. That was really mature of him.

I don't think Zach said no initially to Bliss because he thought Irina would be hotter. I do think Bliss was hotter than he expected, but I think he picked Irina because Irina never said anything that scared him. Because they didn't have the same depth of communication. Bliss said two things that scared him 1) she told him the story of a time when her family disapproved of a previous bf which recalled to him a traumatic experience and 2) she told him that if he chose Irina that that would indicate to her that he wasn't who she thought he was, which made him think her love was conditional and spoke to underlying trust issues. In fact he says, 'I picked Irina because I trust her more.' But he trusts her for the wrong reasons-she only tells him what he wants to hear. And he also says that he thinks Irina will love him no matter what he looks like. I think he realizes as soon as he meets Irina that she isn't who he thinks she is. That's when he realizes he should have picked Bliss, he just attributes that feeling to earlier feelings of doubt in his memories and his retelling of the situation to Bliss. Which I agree is super lawyer-y but also human. Basically he was a scaredy cat. And obtuse about human feelings/relationship building.

6:09 so I saw a Tik Tok this morning and Zack did in fact say that they cut something out during that clip of him doing the song and he actually had proof. He showed an unedited clip before he sang he said that he had a song for her and that it was by this band but that he tweaked the words a bit. So he’s not lying

Agreed! I hate to say it, but she really was the 2nd choice. However, Bliss later clarified 'rather well' about why she decided to set aside her pride & forgive Zack. As she does believe Zack is her "person". I get that, but so hope she doesn't regret that decision. Zack's insecurities were the basis of his choosing Irena over Bliss. Those insecurities do not magically go away. I hope Zack is able to commit to Bliss (as she deserves), for the long run.

I’d agree if Zak had seen both women before choosing, but he hadn’t… He may, upon seeing her, vastly prefer Bliss in every respect vs irina. As a viewer, I vastly prefer Bliss. Bliss is objectively beautiful. In that sense, I believe Bliss is his first choice.

I struggle with the compromise section with Kwame and Chelsea. I get that he is leaving a lot behind in Portland but considering his job is remote and Chelsea's isn't, it is very realistic for him to be the one to move for them both to keep their current careers. Yes that's a really hard choice to make, but it does make the most sense.

I think Chris, the EP, say they budget for 5 couples. In S1, they were legitimately blown away by how many couples got engaged and how well the experiment worked. They only expected 2, but had a contingency plan and budget for 5. So they had to pick 3 couples who wouldn't go. I think they followed that same format for subsequent seasons of picking 5 couples.

Chelsea has a job where she works really long days so it makes sense that she wants to stay close to work. Kwame works remotely so that isn't a thing for him but he does have soccer multiple days a week so it makes sense for him to want to stay close to that. If anything honestly they could move in between the two but as someone who has had to commute 60+ min to and from work, that drive SUCKS after a long day. If he's only commuting for soccer, less than 5 days a week, only for a few hours those days, honestly it's more fair for him to commute a further distance but that's just my opinion

I rewound, the video, there were NO big words! How dumb are these trash hags?? Also, the comment issued (as a warning?) to Paul, about having ended "TWO" of Micah's past relationships, for her. I so LOVED Paul's response, stating he didn't care about what they thought, perfect! This encounter spoke volumes regarding how truly immature Micah is, as per her choice of friends.
