Mike, thank you for sharing your build. It is super valuable for my family as we are about to start construction in SW Florida (Naples area) as well. I noticed that you have installed mini-splits. Have you considered a variable speed, central AC with multiple zones? We are also planning to build with ICF walls and roof (Fox Blocks + InsulDeck). Have you considered ICF for your build? I wanted to do a ICF house but couldn't find someone to do it. Variable speed central air systems are pretty expensive and somewhat problematic and when it breaks you have no ac through the whole house. At first I had just one 12k running and it's keep the whole house comfortable

@@BuiltByMike. I had variable, broke after 2 years, i got away easy just with 14 Bennies, but i had to pay motel for a week because it was August in Florida and could not get parts in time.

Hi Nice building, did you get to insulate some part of the house with spray foam or all the house? Because I watched the video but as a woman 😅it gets confusing.. because this design is different and beautiful although it reminds me of how we build in Nigeria.. so I don’t know much about insulation like you do.. am in Missouri and found out houses are insulated for the seasons..

Mike, that house is awesome! We just purchased a 1/4 acre in Charlotte county and would love to put a house like this there. Would you be willing to share the plans of it? I too would be doing most of my own work on it ( I’m a tradesman) Any way great job!! Steve
