Just curious as to why you routed the electrical about 2 inches below your water lines. That doesn't seem very smart.
@BuiltByMike24 күн бұрын
That's just where the electricians put them. Water lines and electrical wires cross all the time in a attic.

Great video where I appreciated your tips and lessons learned. That was very helpful Had a couple questions: Where did you get the trailer from? What are the dimensions of your trailer? Was it easy to get insurance for trailer including all build out? How much does your trailer weigh after building out?
@BuiltByMike27 күн бұрын
Bought it straight from the manufacturer in Georgia. It's 28 plus 4 foot v. I ordered it with an extra foot of height. I have it insured for 20000. It's about 7100 complete now.

They have these on clearance at my Lowe’s right now for $1119, idk why it’s been marked down so much, I have a first gen Bosch hybrid, the reviews for this AO Smith model seem to be very bad online.

I have to say, your approach to showing this product is creative. A salesman at heart. Most of us who choose to convert cargo trailers to campers are not financially capable of forking out the expensive items you present. Obviously you’re not too technical and creative like the rest of us so, I’m happy for you that you can just have the unit you desire. God bless you and yours
@BuiltByMikeАй бұрын
I'm probably more technical and creative then most building these just like having nice things. My first trailer I build all the bed and furniture. But my setup time is about 5 minutes in this trailer vs 20 to 30 in the other trailer. And when it's raining that makes a huge difference
@Grimfate013Ай бұрын
So on all these videos I keep on seeing them complaining about how it doesn't get into the crack. It's not like you can put it in a vacuum chamber and have it, but what you could do is buy a bunch of cheap suction cups, apply pressure where the epoxy is applied and kind of force some of it down into the cracks using the pressure with suction
@BuiltByMikeАй бұрын
I don't care to get the epoxy down in the crack.

This was very helpful and thanks to you, I am going to try to do my self. Question. Did you use any kind of pull wire to help fish the new wires back through. The routing those wires back seems like it could be difficult. Any advice is very much appreciated
@BuiltByMikeАй бұрын
I just pushed them through. You can cut the wires at the old motor and tape the new ones to that and pull the new in with the old.

It definitely revs up faster which I think helps. The camaro has pretty short gears and the truck has much longer gears. Camaro cold start is much better i just didn't want to wait till the next day. And another 100hp helps

love the length, i have a 2003 20-footer, i gained my extra space by adding a fold-out bedroom [tent with a queen-sized bed and a liner that makes it dark, quiet, and warm even in 30-degree weather. it is impossible to see from the outside. I also added two jacks of the ramp to be flat and we found an 8x8x6 inflatable tent from Canada for 220.00 strapped to the ramp and four anchors in the ground using 18''' spiral dog stakes. I found a large heavy-duty CARGO NETS at harbor freight for 24.99 I use it to hold items down or up, to clips on walls and the floor. everything stays put and away from the side by side.

Nail polish is a fake repair (is not solid but like silicon, doesnt bond, doesnt create thick kayer and cracks) as most of things on youtube Epoxy is toxic so you should take care and you did it pretty good with simple tool, you only need a small bibcomponent clear epoxy tube that is not outdated. Epoxy degrades so you should use small quantities if you need it at all Other solution is a glued flexible rubber transparent cover but i think it doesnt waterproof the screen properly if there are pieces mising and heats the phone because thermal insulation

This unit is total garbage. I had new one replaces already under warranty and the new one still sucks and cant deliver more than 20 min of hot water- even with a mixer in place and a 80 gallon unit. I challenge anyone to tell me that it's better than a traditional gas HW tank. It gives less hot water and isn't less expensive. We have all been had by rebates and BS incentives to go away from traditional gas that works better... period
@BuiltByMike3 ай бұрын
I've had other issues with mine. I had to replace due to heat pump breaking in less then 8 months. My 55 gallon allow I son to take about a 20 minute shower and then we take a 20 minute shower. Have you tried it in hybrid mode
