Some of those demos are so amazing!!! You can hear for instance, in "Wah Wah", George's guitar playing inflections that suggest the horn arrangement!!!! It's amazing to me. George had been in studios enough to know what was possible. It wasn't all Spector, a lot of it was in George's head from the beginning.

I wish they had put the "I Live For You" from the 30th anniversary ATMP on the 50th anniversary, I know a early version is on the one disc but it's not like the polished one.

No one has brought up "What is Life" and how much better it sounds. The last verse has had a buried guitar for decades until this release!

@@talkmoretalksolobeatles I don't think it sounds better. Need to boost up the wall of sound and especially the horns. And even if you hear some guitar licks that have buried all this time, does that make it better? Maybe it was left out all these years because it didn't improve the performance. Just my opinion! no complaints with the music in the 50th anniversary edition. I love the remixes and I can finally get rid of my dodgy old tape recording of Beware of ABKCO. The packaging is a bit underwhelming. But then I always preferred the classy triple gatefold cover that my early ‘80s copy came in over the box. Not sure if this was a uniquely Australian packaging but worth checking out if you haven’t seen one.

Bonus material is the star of this release. The outtake CD in the 3 CD set was outstanding. Wah Wah (take 1), Art of Dying, etc. etc. are just great. These are the true de-spectorized versions in my opinion. The remixes are ok, maybe warmer and an easier listen, but lost some of the power from the original release. Great show, thanks as always!!
