I completely agree with Larry on this if Oda doesn’t find some way to utilize this character that we all believed was dead it’s a huge flaw. It’s diminishes what Robin and Kuzans character stands for and no one truly knows who’s dead in one piece. Next thing we know Ace and Whitebeard are going to pull-up at the final fight. Gol D Roger might even come back at this rate 😂

I know this comment is super late but while I do agree with fake killing characters usually doesn’t work, I don’t think it takes away from Kuzan as a character. I actually think it adds to it. He was a good man from the start that has consistency to his morals. I think it also helps that I now realize the bond him and harp had. He influenced Kuzan to make some of these hard decisions to go against his orders as a marine.

What ruins the part about Saul being alive is ALL the other characters prior to this that didn't actually die. Which sucks because I definitely see where you guys and everyone is coming from. I just believe this is a tad bit different, so hear me out. All of these other characters that just happened to not die (Pell, Pound, Kin'emon, etc) would have had a better impact on the story if they just stayed dead. When it comes to Saul, is that ANY OTHER marine could have taken his place on that Ohara. WHY did it have to be a giant? AND not only a giant, but a "D" in his name?! I think Oda had this planned from the moment we met Saul. Just sucks that his other death fakeouts are diminishing Saul's comeback. I hope someone sees this cause i unfortunately couldn't make it to the stream. Love you guys!

Yo, long time listener/watcher. Don't be so quick to hate on the writing. I think half of these characters that have "fake death" will more than likely die (the second time) in the end war. Each character will die relevant to their first death to get there other half closer to the end of the war. Saul will save robin again etc.
