I could spend 2 hours running to work or I can spend 20 minutes driving there which do you think i would do? I feel like oda has shown multiple times that blackbeard isnt the kinda guy to risk things and will take advantages wherever he sees them. in some instances hes overconfident or undercalculates situations but that doesnt mean he wouldnt use the dirtiest and most underhanded tactics to achieve his goal. Even if he was outright stronger itd be insanely out of character for him to have a fair fight because hes the truest representation of a PIRATE its what they do.

Instead, he cancelled out laws devil fruit. He had no reason to do so if he's stronger.

You cant say one fruit should be stronger by comparing past users or the general ability itself. Not to mention that black beard definitely doesnt have the same power both with the gura gura no mi and raw strength as whitebeard. Its also without a doubt much more difficult to land a punch against the most versatile fruit in the one piece universe. A fruit which in the anime is stated as being top tier and possibly the strongest. On someone like law who has both trained with it his entire life and awakened it making it his most lethal weapon. If blackbeard disarms him and beats him in no way is he weaker blackbeard wins in the end so whats the point if we say law is physically stronger or not.

There's also this fact that she NEVER went all out vs Kidd/Law. For those asking why she would do that, just a reminder that even Kaido refrained from going all out until Gear 5. NO! Simply using his hybrid form doesn't mean that Luffy can match him in his "base" w/ ACoC. ACoC Luffy + Gear 4 Snakeman was already panting and complaining about how it is last "gear 4" and only needed one hit from Kaido before "dying". The Cp0 Agent only hasten the inevitable.

Big Mom still has tricks up her sleeve that she never used vs Kidd/Law. Like ACoC attacks for example, Shanks has shown how devastating it is vs non-ACoC users by using it vs Kidd. BM did the same thing vs Ulti and Page One which are both Ancient Zoan users. Sure, it's BM's fault for playing with her food too much but we can't deny how much of a monster she is. My guess for her not using ACoC on her strikes is because she wants a DF showdown with Kidd/Law AND both are incapable of using ACoC. Kidd only has basic CoC so far.

She defeated an army of Giants as a child, clashed ACoC with base Kaido for 3-straight days while both are still holding back, proving that she can clash with ACoC+Gear 4 Luffy considering she has much better stamina. Imagine ACoC+2-yr or more Lifespan Powerup BM? We never saw that. If BM was able to double her strength in just a year, she can get more power with 2 or more.

Even her loss vs Kidd/Law can be considered a feat. Kidd+Law! Think about that for a second? 2v1, not fair from the start. She never used ACoC attacks vs them. The only ACoC she did was that "treat or life" thing when she was already falling from the hole Law created. Speaking of, Law literally made that so both him and Kidd could just yeet her from the island as they can't kill or at least disable her completely even with their strongest awakened attacks. The most damage they did is broke her ribs and arm, which she simply healed up. She was still battle-ready after that fall and Kidd/Law can't even use most of their power afterwards. Thanks to Law disabling her homies and her voice, plus the bomb and her fall to the Earth's mantle, she was finally "vanquished". I doubt it since she can literally turn magma into a homie plus like how she literally used prometheus as part of her hair. I believe her when she said that the lava won't be enough to kill her.

While Kaido's showings do seem to surpass Big Mom's when it comes to durability and raw combat, Big Mom hax is something else entirely. The only reason Kidd's Damned Punk managed to knock her off was because she couldn't use her fruit powers to suck the lifespan of the people nearby because Law used a room to silence her. Kidd was using his Damned Punk for a WHILE. This just goes to show how much hax regeneration Big Mom has, and even with Law silencing her, her durability remains top tier. If Kaido and Big mom were to fight with Big mom having access to people's life spans to fully utilize her fruit, I think she could even outlast Kaido in a full-powered fight.

I do think people underestimate Big Mom a lot. She's fought kaido, rodger and whitebeard without a scratch on her. Nothing has been shown to be strong enough to actually hurt her other then attacks that phase through her defenses. And even then you needed to add in the ability to steal her voice so she couldn't make more Homies, and add a giant fall into a lava pit with a giant bomb. More then any other Yonko, i also think she is the one you can't wear down with numbers. Tossing thousands of marines at her gets them Soul Pocused and Mama and army of Homies to fight. I do think that Big Mom as shown is stronger then Marineford Whitebeard, she's certainly stronger then Buggy and Blackbeard. She is likely stronger then currently Luffy cause Luffy can't kep gear 5 up long enough to do the job. I also think she would deal with Gear 5 luffy better then Kaido did. That kind of silly power really got under Kaido's skin, since he wanted this grim bleak fight to the death because it fits his bleak worldview. Big mom already has some cartoon stuff going on herself so i don't think she'd be quite as phased. I think she and Kaido are about even, they did fight for days without a clear winner. I give Kaido a slight edge, mostly because there isn't as big a worry about something like the Pangs kicking in. Blackbeard when he got serious practically just used vortex and probably one shotted Law something Big Mom couldn't do for chapters. One clash doesn't determine it was a regular no-named attack from BB that clashed with Law's Awakening that severely hurt her. From what we seen Blackbeard Attack Potency is definitely more lethal than Big Mom's but she is getting underrated.

BM is indeed the weakest Yonko, the Law version BB fought was the upgraded version (who knows haki and how it works). The correct yonko tier is the following 1-Shanks 2-Kaido 3-Luffy 4-Blackbeard 5-Bigmom (BB and Luffy can swap with each other, mostly to the fact BB fights off-screen.

In your discussion about Kid on Winner Island, you forget that the first thing BB start doing is throwing shockwaves and tsunamis at Law's submarine, the only reason why they hold this long before going on island is because it was a submarine, BB would sink and crush Kids ship with tsunami and shockwaves much earlier and also faster than Kid finnaly charged up his Damn Punk. And still if Kid will be faster and shot BB ship before BB sink his, Ogr will teleport them on island, if Kid is smart and knows his limits he would continue shoting Damn Punks at him from distance, but he is not, he will go to them and get beaten or if he not, BB will sink his ship while being on the island anyway.

I like anime debates but sometimes people neglect aspects of narrative that strengthen or weaken characters. Example: saying a character fought for days is a meaningless variable used SOLELY to make off screen feats seem cool. If anything, a long fight invalidates a character bc it suggests either character is strong enough to effectively finish another or challenge the other. It’s like saying Jinbei is stronger than gear 5 luffy bc he fought ace for a long time while gear 5 doesn’t last long. Okay, but what ig luffy is just so overwhelmingly strong that he wins in 10 mins anime time? Another example is trying to assume feats of character based on limited screen time. I think BB is a victim of this. BB has few on screen feats and it seems consistent that bb is strong or weak based solely on narrative. He was a commander on WBs crew along with ace (who is heavily power boosted in off screen feats but never on screen) and could contend with the same ace that fought a warlord and jinbei. He also wounded a shanks that “didn’t have his guard down and wasn’t careless”. But on screen, we only see a goofier side of bb bc narratively it seems likely that oda has a surprise with his powers. Based on a combo of feats (seen and unseen) and mild speculation in a totally 1v1 situation this is my ranking off ALL yonko we've had. 1) BB 2) Shanks 3) WB 4) luffy 5) kaido 6) big mom 7) buggy 🤡
