Thanks for the replies guys but i didn't describe myself well enough. I am talking about the shorter looking mouldings in the video at 8:55. And just to let you know i really appreciate your videos. I am putting my 67 FB back together and they help a lot

The '67 and '68 Mustang share the moldings on the glass. The only real difference inside the doors that we can see seems to be the rear lift guide. The early cars used a felt plate and the later ones a plastic plate. The plastic can tend to scuff the stainless; otherwise we prefer them.

Hey, watched this one 20 times as its helped me put mine together! Thanks a lot guys...Oh and yea just wanted to say, I noticed that the wrap-up session of the video(16:55) shows that all your hard work putting the trim on the car was in vain...looks like it fell back off the car! LOL Opps!

Atevres, Those moldings are not sold as part of the drip rails. But they are correct for your 1968. And they are much easier to install. They are available under National Parts Depot part number: 517A10-2A. Hope this helps!

You can use the '68 moldings in the '67. If it is a modified car the '68 will be fine, a resto would require the larger moldings.

I just did both of my vent assemblies last weekend, this video helped a LOT. My question is not really covered by this video, but...what order to I install the glass? There are six pieces on my vert. Logic would suggest doing the vent and quarters first then slide the main window in between, but I'm willing to bet there's a specific order in which to install the various components. Can you provide an overview?

Vent first, side glass next, rear quarter glass next. Top down for the whole install.

Thanks, and amazing speed too! My top is not down it is off, by that I mean my skeleton/frame is out for powdercoating and to have all the bushings/joints/handles refurbished. Sure makes working on the well and interior nicer that way :-)

Hello Jeff! I have a terrible doubt, help me if you can. I purchased the kit Drip Rail Moldings for my Fastback 1968, but were not in the kit also the two pieces you see in minute 8:55 (I think they are called "Sash Door Escutcheon"). E 'need to take? Or you can install the same the molding? I understand that you do not montanto '67 models, are being installed in modeli '68? Mine is a fastback 12/'67 production '68 version. As the '67 has for example the Windshield Pillar Pads. Thank you guys!

so what happens when that little screw you keep and make sure you don't lose can't reach the weatherstrip/window run to thread in??? its like it isn't long enough to catch to screw in.. do i just need to press the weatherstrip in harder so it catches?? or get a longer screw then gring the tip off like you show to do if you lose the screw..

You can definitely get a longer screw and use a high speed cut off tool and metal cut off wheel to remove the excess.

Question Guys. I have a 67 and my mouldings are in pretty bad condition. Can i use the 68 ones instead? any mods needed?

My dad and I are currently putting my 66 fastback back together. Do you know if its weatherstrip trim goes together the same way?

Very similar. There are a few minor differences on the vertical weatherstrip But overall it is pretty close.
