Hahaha, the amount of work here is just amazing. Not only the job it self, but documenting it so thoroughly impress me even more. It makes it really enjoyable to watch and you convinced me that I could do this job without to much effort, and I don't have a clue about stuff like this. Well done mr. Hestad. Really cool to see Norwegian products find your content valuable to work with. Congrats on the new shiny floor. You should wear a suit and I tie from now on out in that showroom of yours. 😂🙌🏻

Thanks bro 😊 It was a lengthy project for sure. I normally dream about having a bigger space, but during this project I thought my garage was more than big enough 😜 I am very grateful for the support I got from Gjøco. Their representative even stopped by my garage and gave me valuable tips on how to get a good result.

your videos are great...production is top notch and you make something like this very watchable. not sure i have seen a sand blaster like you have used before. i do enjoy workshop videos and yours are no exception. good job!

I have a regular sand blasting gun as well, the one I used in the video is smart when you need to use one outside of a cabinet. It has several types of rubber tips and recirculates the sand into a small bag. It’s not a perfect solution, a lot of the sand escapes so it’s not usable anywhere 😏

Excellent result, and a very ‘instructional’ video, thank you. I’m considering doing similar to my garage, but it might be too much, as I have nowhere to park two lathes, two motorcycles, two welders and a shed-load (literally!) of tools and other machines while I do the job. Anyway, thank you. Good work! Les in UK 🇬🇧

Could it be possible to move everything over to one side and sand down and paint the floor in two separate operations? I can absolutely recommend epoxy paint, it makes the workshop much cleaner, brighter and comfortable to work in. I have noticed quite some wear around the lathe, stepping on small metal chips causes scratches. I'll probably buy some floor protective mats to stand on to prevent damage to the floor.

Greetings from your Biltema friends in Stockholm! What a great video and channel!

Thanks 🙏 Biltema is absolutely my go-to-store where I do most of my shopping 😊 I did however select Gjøco as supplier for the epoxy, a Norwegian company with factories close to where I live!

I see most concrete floors these days grind lines into them so the will crack along those lines as the concrete continues to harden. See Diesel Creek's workshop floor.

Yes, I have seen that as well. I think perhaps that is more common for bigger floors? 🤔My garage is "only" 39 square meters = 420 square feet. I think probably I made somewhat of a mistake when I built the garage the way I made the base foundation. I made the floor and the foundation in one piece, so the walls and the roof is actually resting on the outer part of the floor. Perhaps the floor would not have cracked if it was separate from the foundation, the foundation could then have moved / sagged some millimeters into the ground (when snow gathers on the roof during the winter, and I load the second floor with motorcycle parts....) without it affecting the floor 🙄

@@kihestadyeah maybe, it's not my wheelhouse but I see a lot of cracked garage floors so maybe they need to. I think subsequent self leveling screed is not the same thing though. 7:43

hello, i think the max single piece of floor, without spacers, is 25 square meters and the dimensions matter, the ration shouldn't exceed 2:1 at worst. that could be the reason why you got the cracks.

Tusen takk, veldig fin film og forklaring. Ser du har gått grundig til verks. Ser de anbefaller syrevask før behandling, mulig det kunne tatt oljen ? Spørsmål, brukte du primer ifra gjøko. Er den også to komponent?

Hello Ki, I just though I would say that I have recently acquired myself a Cagiva Elefant and I'll hopefully get to do some traveling when spring comes around. Why this is relevant it because I'm based in Denmark, should you by any chance have the time and interest I though it would be nice to let you know that I exist and have a similar rare bike nearby. I have also ben spending some time 3D moddeling and printing some parts for the Elefant, however I don't thing ours are similar enough that you can use much of it.

Congrats!!! I'm sure you will be loving it 😊 Cool to hear you have been 3D printing parts to it 👍
