This is stunning!!!! I have made beach coasters and a beach paper towel holder as my first projects. Now I am planning to make a very small entry way table for my son’s one room apartment. Should I do a clear epoxy coat over the whole thing after the ocean cures so that the table has an even surface? Thanks!

Thq for sharing your skill. Could you let me know how you prepared the wooden board before pouring? Like did you stain and varnish? Sanded? Thq

I don't recall which video it was but you mentioned an additive you used to make your waves look deeper. I'm wondering if just a drop of liquid dark blue in a cup of resin would do the same result.

When you start to heat up the white with the heatgun is the blue base underneath still wet, or did you wait for it to dry? :)

Hi Nita. Absolutely stunning work!!! I am fairly new to resin and have only made ocean coasters, a ocean paper towel holder and some tumblers to far. I have not worked with wood. I just purchased a live edge cutting board, roughly 2' x 1' to make my son a small entry table for his ocean themed college apartment. I want it to look just like yours in this video and only hope to come close!! I do have a couple of questions... Did you do anything to the cutting board to prep it before creating the waves? Once the waves cure should I seal the entire table with anything or do layer of clear epoxy over it so that the whole table top is level like for placing a small lamp on it? Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you so much for such a great detailed tutorial, "How much Resin should be thick when we are creating waves, all my Rein showed perfect cells but when cured this was all like white hairy/cloudy layers of waves 😭😭😭😭😭" My resin working time is one hour or so to become thicker.

Of course it's beautiful, you are the best. Question: When you buy the board from say TJ MAXX , DO you need to sand the wood or treat the wood before doing this? I know the boards sometimes have a finish on them and of course you want the product to stick to the wood as best as possible. Let me know 🙂 Thank you!!

Are these boards food safe or are they just for art? I ask because I'm making my own boards and am getting ready for an upcoming art sale. I intend on putting a disclaimer out to tell customers the boards are just for decoration and NOT to come into contact with food.ya know, safety firsf.
