Only correction there would be that this isn't 4K, it's in between 1080 and 4k (as I very recently learned). But all the benefits of this unit really make up for not quite reaching 4k. That 0.16 throw distance is the first sane UST I've seen that doesn't require you to get up to a lot of work just to try to fit a unit that sticks out 25 inches total from the wall...

Does it affect the type of sound processing from movies if it’s not eArc? Shouldn’t we look for a projector with eArc if we have a dedicated theater? I heard that you won’t be able to pass through certain surround sounds but I’m not sure if the receiver fixes those signals.

Correct. The LS800 does not support eARC for Dolby Atmos as an example but we recommend using an Apple TV 4K, roku ultra or other external media device so you don’t have to worry about that. The built in Apps on projectors still aren’t as well built as a separate media player will be.

Great video Zach! Epson really knocked it out of the ballpark with the LS800! Just a minor correction but the LS800 is 4,000 lumens not 3,000.

Those 4000 Lumens are in dynamic mode though. If you care about colour accuracy, it will drop a fair bit in movie mode.

I am looking to purchase one of these to be a move around multipurpose projector. I have been looking all over to see if anyone has tested one of these in an outdoor setting because I am looking to also potentially use it for that. I'm not talking about direct sunlight obviously but I am curious to see or hear from someone who has attempted to use one outside during the day in a shaded environment.

High altitude mode does kick the LS800 into high gear. It’s not bad with the salamander designs cabinet but if you don’t have the cabinet I could see it being a bit much.
