Jose, you're a wealth of knowledge & thank you for sharing it with us! I'm new to inkjet printers so I'm learning from you. If I want to reuse the original waste tank and buy new pads for it, do I need to use a chip resetter after replacing the pad on the original cartridge? Thank you!

Sadly my ET-7750 remembers two previous maintenance boxes... A $50 gadget to reset it is a tad too expensive, considering the electronics in there are worth pennies. Thanks for the video still!

Don't know if you read about this Jose but the worldwide chip shortage might well benefit refillers like yourself. Canon are struggling to get chips for many of their ink carts so are selling them with no chips! I expect Epson will likely be in a similar situation over time. We could see a return to chipless OEM carts which might benefit those who refill. 😊

From 7:45 shows how to re-use old maintenance box by inserting brand new box so that the printer thinks it has a new box. So how can the new box be used as its code has already been used for the old box? Printer will not recognize same code again.

Hi, I have a brand new Epson L8180 (in the US, ET-8550). I bought a compatible maintenance box C9345, without prior knowledge about possible issues or them being harmful to the printer's electronics. Epson says compatible maintenance boxes are not recommended for replacement. I would be pleased to know your opinion about this. Since those boxes have a chip is it safe to use them?

Hi Jose great channel I've learned so much from watching your vids about 3rd party inks for the EPSON 1430 I really can't thank you enough. Alright so I purchased a EPSON XP-15000 to replace my last working EPSON 1430, and now I have plenty of Precision Color ink left over for the 1430 that I'm not sure what to do with. So I was wondering if the Precision Color EV6SE inks will work with the EPSON XP-15000. I've already down graded the firm ware and I'm using Precision color 15K SE ink sets for the new XP-15000. If you could let me know that would be great, as I would rather not do any ink experimentation on my new printer. Thanks again for all your help both past and present. `

No. There is RED and GRAY in that ink set. It is a totally different color formulation. PC has it. I am currently using it on my chipless XP15K.

Hi there, Would it be possible to drill a very small hole in top of box, syringe as much of the waste ink out, reseal hole and replace same box back into printer.

No because it's never in a condition where it's so saturated. Believe my I opened one and you can squeeze the declared full pads and you can't really squeeze out liquid waste ink. So I will just reset the chip and run it again but only to 50%.

Do you know if this trick works with a XP-5150 ? It uses the C13T04D100 maintenance box. I see lots of chip resetters being sold online, makes me think that it doesn't.

Do not know that model but as long as the Reseter is legit it should.

@@cheo1949 yes the resetter works but your video shows that your model can switch between two boxes without resetting them. Like, the act of changing the box will itself reset the old box because it doesn't store any information on the box chip. Or did I miss the point of the video? Since a new box is cheaper than a resetter, I thought I could just switch between the 2.
