AWESOME. Section 8 (Described at ~7:10 to 8:10 and practically applied EXPERTLY at 12:50) is GOLD for performers - THANK YOU for the tip on HOW TO ERASE THE LOOP so you can have a clean transition to the next song in the performance WITHOUT the 'old' loop restarting . . . . I just picked this pedal up and that was going to be a deal-killer for sending it back until I got to your demo and tutorial, specifically this issue, so BOSS owes you one.

No comments? Well I'm happy to be the first to give you an emphatic thank you for what was a really clear and patient review full of incredibly useful knowledge. Planning to pick up my first loop pedal, even if I don't get the rc1 I was eyeing, this was everything I needed to know to inform the decision. Thank you.

Thank you. Best of luck with whatever looper you go with. They are fun pedals!

Fantastic video. Gave me multiple ideas I wouldn’t have realized were options for using the pedal.

Thanks for that. So much useful info about that looper. I want one and this has lured me to it as i love Boss pedals. Just would have liked a little info on the 2 inputs and 2 outputs. Great stuff!
@JY-cq8th8 ай бұрын
I think the 2 inputs and 2 outputs is to allow you to loop in stereo, or maybe with multiple instruments? I would not be surprised if I was mistaken either way.
@kevindaoust8 ай бұрын
Hello! The stereo ins and outs allow you to use stereo instruments with the pedal, such as keyboards or samplers. As for two guitars, etc. I didn't think to try it during the review but it would be interesting...

Cool vid. The 5L foot switch doesn’t work with it though. 🤙

Here is what I DONT see on any of the demos is using effects to change your loop. Most basic: clean and distortion one over the other, also, flanger or wah on second loop. Octaver pedal? Add a bass line. Univibe swells Does your pedal emulate different instruments? Have a drum machine? Awesome. You can even plug a Mic (it might need some preamp) to add harmony lines to your vocals. Using the same tone for everything, even when each dub is tasty, makes the mix sound too busy and cluttered.

Hey man, thanks for the comment. You do make a great point and I do a lot of those kinds of things live with my acoustic duo. If you want to do those things, just make sure that the looper is LAST in your chain, so that it grabs everything. If you want to add a mic, have a look at some of the other RC models that Boss offers; some include an XLR input for a microphone.

Worst pedal ever. How anyone can finish a loop with a double click and time it perfectly is beyond me.
@kevindaoustАй бұрын
Hello! It does take time to get a handle of a looper, but with a bit of practice, it gets easy!
@DaleRobertSzyms11 күн бұрын
You don’t double click to finish a loop, just press it once and it starts looping. I used to have this pedal and I’ve since graduated to the RC-600 and I hate it, I get nothing done because I’m always looking in the manual to have to find things. I’m sorry I ever sold the RC-1, best single track looper I ever had.
@Bombed8myelbow8 күн бұрын
@DaleRobertSzyms just re read what you said, "you click it once to Start the loop" I'm talking about stopping the loop.
@kevindaoust7 күн бұрын
@@Bombed8myelbow If you have a look at the RC-5 video that we just did, I do a bit of a tutorial where I cover my stop/erase technique. Hopefully that will help out!
