ER was so amazing especially their first 8 seasons to me. Benton was one of my favorites even with his hard shell because sometimes you saw a glimmer of his humanity. Ugh. I’m rewatching the series past season 8 I started to not care. Something was lost. Maybe it was the core of Green and Benton leaving that sealed the coffin. They also showed less of the nurses as the show got older. Haleh, Chuney, Lily, Connie 😩

Other than Carole Hathaway and Abby (who they made into a doctor), the nurses were always secondary characters. The way they sell weaver getting hit is top notch acting. That whole sequence almost seem like an accident. Like she was really hit and everyone stayed in charter even her to get this amazing Moment on camera. And if it was all choreographed then they nailed it.

Whoa I can't believe Benton actually popped Kerry in the face with his elbow in that fight at 0:39. I never noticed that before. That's probably the only time she's gotten hit by a staff member in a tense moment than just getting yelled at. I can't remember if Benton got a severe write-up or suspension but being one of the best seems to provide immunity I take it like many of the best doctors have had for all their errors and bad judgement. Ironic that Malucci only ended up getting fired after banging a paramedic than for killing a patient or the times he got into fights on the job and by the woman who got hit trying to break his assaulter off of him.

I watched ER 17 years ago and still always recognize Erik Palladino in everything else I ever see him in, i always hear his distinctive voice with that accent and see his eyes and think Malucci. I actually thought it was impressive how similar he looks like over 20 years later, still playing a character who doesn't have grown children lol... It took me a while to recognize the counselor/therapist guy in the same prison storyline on Suits is the actor from The Resident though.

@@charloteauxvalerian3875 No, Weaver was efficient and probably one of the most balanced and logical. Logical can come off as "cold", but that's who you want in the ER. Honestly, would you want Benton working on you or yours, even hours and perhaps Days after this? His head *isn't* in the game!

The problem here wasn't even a man vs woman thing. Weaver was hobbling on a cane, and the two guys fighting were both pretty big compared to her. I'm not really sure what she thought she was gonna do there. Maybe she just thought they'd respect her authority and stop when she said stop, but they were already so far into it that anything she said wasn't going to register anyway.
